If we can get another tag, say Flash Fiction, made into a Top Writer Tag it will, hopefully, increase exposure of fiction on Medium.

If we can increase the number of stories of Flash Fiction to be more than the This Happened To Me tag, I reckon we have a good shot at getting it Top Writer Status. Getting the number of stories of Flash Fiction to as many as the Cooking tag makes the argument so much more compelling.
So we need to increase the number of stories tagged Flash Fiction

How
- Always be sure to use the Flash Fiction tag whenever publishing a flash fiction story.
- Go through old stories to see if the Flash Fiction tag applies. If it does — tag it. I have noticed in the past that some Microfiction stories are not also tagged Flash Fiction when they could be. ALL Microfiction (300 words) are also Flash Fiction (1,000 words). [one of my stories wasn’t, it is now!]
- If ever you read a Flash Fiction story that is not tagged Flash Fiction suggest to the author, via comments, to use the tag Flash Fiction.
Gradually over time the number of stories tagged Flash Fiction may get into consideration for a Top Writer spot. It may not. Can but try. I’ll keep you posted.
note: The Science Fiction tag has 18.8k stories, so may be a better proposition to propose as a Top Writer tag. BUT: there are plenty of other tags with more stories and still don’t have Top Writer status.

There seems to have been an uptick over the past four months. A LOT more Microfiction stories were written! Recently, there were many stories on the theme of Halloween. Will there be a similar increase on the theme of Christmas?
At the end of November 2019 there are some 1.6k stories tagged Microfiction.
Putting two and two together, it seems authors are writing Microfiction (a lot more tagged) in preference to Flash Fiction (less than usually tagged). [You can still assign the Flash Fiction tag as well as the Microfiction tag to Microfiction stories.]

Group All “Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Me” Together
A while back I wrote Ten Things You (probably) Didn’t Know About Me and I’ve just discovered someone else’s “Ten Things” published a year ago that I missed first time around. I find it interesting and surprising to read stuff about other authors.
Does anyone else think it’s a good idea to group all these together?
I’m willing to create a corner of Adlers Writing for them. I can create a Landing Page to list them all on, possibly even a menu item. Or, if someone else wants to create and maintain a corner in another publication I’ll be happy to move my story.
If you are an author on Medium and you haven’t yet written “Ten Things . . .” why not consider it? It’s a bit of fun. We all like to find out about the person behind the words.
