Domain Rating (DR)

A significant milestone in this sprint was improving the Domain Rating (DR) from a bad 2.2 to a modest 14. While there is still a long way to go, I am always happy to see progress. This improvement will help Deutsch Mentor become more visible in search engine results, attracting more users organically.

Domain Rating (DR) is a metric to measure the strength and authority of a website’s backlink profile on a scale from 0 to 100. It reflects how well a website is likely to rank in search engine results. A higher DR indicates a stronger ability to attract organic traffic, as it suggests a higher quantity and quality of backlinks from other reputable sites. Improving the DR can enhance a website’s visibility, making it easier for users to find through search engines.

Health Score Improvement

Another crucial metric I worked on was the overall health score of the website, as measured by Ahrefs. Initially, the health score was 75, but with some work, I managed to raise it to 93 ✅. Eventually, I would like to get it to 100!

Google Search Impact

In terms of visibility, we reached a score of 60 clicks in the last 28 days in Google Search Impact 🥳. This means our pages are starting to rank better, and more potential users are discovering Deutsch Mentor through organic search.

60 clicks in 28 days!

Fixing Annoying Issues

During this sprint, I also focused on resolving some minor but annoying issues:

  • Support Chat Placement: Initially, the support chat was appearing on internal pages where it wasn’t needed. By tweaking the settings in Crisp, I managed to restrict it to the landing page only, providing a cleaner interface for users.
  • Mobile Experience: The chat experience on mobile was not great. I did some work to optimize the whole UX.

Conclusion

While marketing sprints may not be as enjoyable for me as building and writing code 😅, I’ve noticed their essential role in driving the platform’s growth.

It’s essential to continue making steady progress, as consistent efforts will lead to even greater results. Thank you for following along, and here’s to our continued success!

Until next time! 🚀
