What type of products would you never buy online? Clothing? Electronics? Gifts? Shoes? Groceries? Fast food? Vitamins? Sports equipment? Is there nothing you wouldn’t buy online? In that case, it’s good to see how much delivery services have improved over the last couple of years. And there’s more ‘service’ coming your way. Check out this week’s videos!

Theme | ROBOTS
Delivery robot

DoorDash must be the first food delivery company that employs robots! Upon arrival customers will receive a link with which they can open the food compartment, so food cannot be stolen along the way. No need to tip these guys.. Why not combine this service with the Pizza Hut Pie Tops (shoes) that can order your favorite pizza by the touch of a button.

If you think delivery robots aren’t cool enough. How about Amazon Prime Air, an autonomous drone delivery system designed to safely deliver your order in 30 minutes or less?!

Theme | INTERNET OF THINGS
In-home delivery

I hate to wait at home for a delivery person who is supposed to be there between 3–5 PM, but shows up at 6 PM…In comes Amazon Key, which lets the courier open your front door and put your order safely inside your home. You even receive video footage of the drop-off!

Theme | ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
My AI is better than yours

You can train an AI to learn nearly anything. Here’s a nice clip of how OpenAI teaches itself how to play the game DOTA2. In two weeks it has learned enough to start taking on better competitors and it even destroyed a champion gamer!

Thank you for adding, Peter Heidemann!

Add your own videos and maybe they will feature in the next TIS Weekly. Questions? Remarks? Ideas? hello@tis.tv is the address! From TIS with love, Simone de Bruin.
