TIS Weekly (#44): Real Or Not Real? That Is The Question
[April 10th, 2016]
Were we proud last week with the nomination for the Dutch Interactive Awards, we are this week because out of more than 14.000 entries we were selected and have received an honorary mention for the Webby Awards! Keep them coming, it feels good! Our theme this month is Virtual Reality. Please add your own favorites! Here are three we like!
Virtual Reality
Therapy for war veterans
Virtual Reality clinical therapy makes war veterans go through simulated interactive stress situations. It’s a tool, it’s an add on to make treatment more available and more acceptable.
Virtual Reality
A better sports team
Virtual Reality can let you live or re-live real life situations. For example in sports. American football clubs use virtual reality to train their teams. The early adopters have a competitive advantage.
Virtual Reality
An empathy teacher
What is it like to be a woman? What is it like to be black? Walk in someone else’s shoes. Virtual Reality can give you an idea what it feels like to be discriminated. VR can teach you empathy but how long does it last?
OK that’s it for this week, friends of innovation. Keep on submitting, keep on voting, keep on innovating. Questions? Remarks? Ideas? hello@tis.tv is the address! From TIS with love, Erwin Blom.
