The Interchain Builders program has continued to support teams since 2022, offering invaluable support to teams building on the Interchain Stack. By providing assistance in areas such as technical support, fundraising, legal, and token design, the program has fostered the growth of numerous projects.

Today, Binary Builders & the Interchain Foundation is excited to introduce the 2023 Q4 cohort of the Interchain Builders Program Accelerator Track.

This quarter we evaluated 40+ applications, and have chosen 7 great teams at various stages of development, requiring support in different areas. These teams are making strides in diverse verticals, including Auditing & Security, Infrastructure, and DeFi.

Here are a brief overview of the 7 projects we are excited to collaborate with and support thriving in the interchain. 6 have been chosen through the regular application process and one by winning the Interchain Builders Shark Tank at Cosmoverse:

Auditing & Security

ChaindefenderAI (previously SCAI):

  • ChaindefenderAI is building AI tools to find and fix smart contract vulnerabilities. SCAI helps blockchain developers write more secure code, and thus deliver features to users faster.

Infrastructure & Oracles:

Electron:

  • Electron ZK-Mesh enables Cosmos SDK chains to rent security from Ethereum. ETH stakers are able to provide PoS security to Cosmos SDK appchains, by putting up their $ETH as staked collateral. They in turn get rewards for this, or get slashed for bad behavior by the appchain’s validators. Electron zkMesh is powered by Electron’s ZK-IBC technology.

Inco:

  • Inco Network is an EVM protocol with on-chain confidentiality (using fully homomorphic encryption). Their fhEVM (FHE + EVM) makes it possible to write private smart contracts and perform computations on top of encrypted data without requiring its decryption. fhEVM can safely and painlessly enable multi-party use cases such as private voting or card games because the encrypted states are directly stored and managed on-chain.

Millicent:

  • Millicent develops infrastructures that bridge the gap between traditional and on-chain finance, enabling multiple banks and fintechs to collectively issue a single tokenized fiat currency, by settling between one another in a separate wholesale token; while their self-sovereign identity framework balances the need for compliance with the right to privacy. Backed by UK government funding, winning awards like the G20 TechSprint, and participating in projects with the Bank of England and the BIS, Millicent aims to improve global finance by unlocking the door for trillions of dollars of traditional liquidity to move on-chain.

Tellor:

  • Tellor is a decentralized oracle protocol that incentivizes an open, permissionless network of data reporting and data validation, ensuring that data can be provided by anyone and checked by everyone. Built for any data type, Tellor’s network of reporters supports basic spot prices, more sophisticated pricing specs (TWAP/VWAP), or any custom data needs you have. If your data can be verified, Tellor can bring it on chain.

DeFi:

Eisen:

  • Eisen aims to bridge the billion-scale liquidity of CeFi to DeFi Providing familiar UX/UI just like CEX. Their DEX aggregator automates leverage trading, helps trading firms hedge their positions, highlights the cheaper prices of DeFi assets compared to CeFi and enables trading firms to take profits that would have otherwise gone to arbitrageurs

FortyTwo

  • FortyTwo is building a UX frontend for DeFi across the interchain ecosystem. They’re building with tech that allows them to scale quickly across Cosmos SDK chains, and beyond the interchain.

The Builders Program supports these teams on an ongoing basis as their projects continue development and their needs and requirements change over time. We could not be more excited to work with such a group of quality projects and are looking forward to accelerating the growth in the Interchain.

If you’d like to learn more about these projects we encourage you to look out for our upcoming project showcases as well as Twitter Spaces & AMAs that we’ll be doing with the Builders Program participants.
