Letter to a poet

Today I read a poem that made my gut wrench

And it came from the relationship between Medium story and photo

Poems and poets can make me feel ashamed. That was the first feeling I had when reading the poem, 'Warlord'. I felt ashamed because, like many of us, we see how the Western arms dealers deal death. Today my day was brightened by your poem story ‘Time to Fly’, Alex Kilcannon. It sparked a memory long-hidden.

When my daughter was at school she had a very close friend called Tracey. They were inseparable and always seemed like ‘good girls’.

It’s interesting to watch people when they are in times of trial and in enforced periods of idleness: what they do with their time and how those activities can take their lives forward. How impressive that you recognised the saving grace of a writer’s notebook Ravyne/Lori. It has served you well and given such riches that we can all benefit. Thanks for passing on your wisdom.
