Just a few hours after receiving a commitment from another Georgia defensive back, WKU Football garnered their second commitment of the day from Fort Valley (GA) safety Talique Allen

Allen is a 6-foot 195-pound safety that played on a Peach County squad that went 12–3 overall made it all the Georgia AAA Championship game. Allen played in 11 games for the Trojans racking up 45 tackles, 2 interceptions and 5 passes deflected. Here is his highlight video

Allen is not rated yet by Rivals or 247 Sports and WKU was his first reported offer on June 2nd. It looks like he was recruited by offensive coordinator Bryan Ellis and defensive coordinator Clayton White.

While not yet highly acclaimed by the recruiting services, WKU has had success with under-recruited players from the state of Georgia. Recent graduate Drell Greene came from a similar situation from tiny Alma, Georgia and was a four-year standout at defensive back for the Hilltoppers. Playing in the talent-rich state translates well to the college level and Allen played on a really good team in 2018. WKU is also recruiting teammate Octavious King (offensive lineman).

Here is where the 2020 class sits after Allen’s commitment

With the fourth commitment in five days, Helton’s staff is starting to hit their stride on the 2020 recruiting trail.
