If all you do is to think big all the time then you’ll miss all the small things.
But it all starts with the small things.
You have to get the small things right to be able to get the big things right.
You just can’t put out great work all the time.
You just can’t get everything right every single time.
You just can’t nail that video every single time.
Or that blog post.
Is the only question you should ever ask yourself.
You shouldn’t ask yourself whether people will like it or not.
Because there will always be people who won’t like it.
Don’t spend your time thinking about all of the things you can’t do.
And instead spend your time doing the things you can do.
Because the more you do and the less you think, the better you’ll get.
It’s not what you do on your good days that will make you.
It’s almost always what you do on your bad days.
Simply because at one point your good days will be gone.
If all you do is to post once or twice a week.
If you publish just one or two books.
If you create just a few pieces of art.
Or a few songs.
The things you don’t want to do.
The things you’re afraid of.
The things you’re trying to run away from.
The things you know you should be doing but don’t.
… and never finished it, then go back and finish it.
It’s almost always the things we don’t really have to do that we don’t finish.
Like that book you maybe started a while ago.
People are passionate about the things you do that you’re really passionate about. On the other hand, when you do things you’re not really passionate about, well then most people won’t care about the things you do…
The only thing I believe in is fear.
The fear of creating and putting something out there that’s not good enough. Something that’s not perfect. Something people might not enjoy that much…
