saddarSanam — verse 38

karOmi karmEti narO vjAnan
bAddhyO bhavEt karma-phalam ca bhOktum
vicAradhUtA hRdi kartRtA cEt
karmatrayam naSyati saiva muktiH

If one thinks “I am the doer of actions” then one
becomes responsible for consuming the results thereof.
Clearing the heart of doer-ship by the means of inquiry i.e., vicAra
triad of karma vanishes! that is called liberation!!

One who is doing action is responsible for the results thereof. The results are to be consumed / enjoyed / suffered by the doer alone. By self-inquiry one clears of the agency or doer-ship completely from the heart, all the actions of past i.e, sancita, present i.e, prArabdha and future i.e, AgAmi are cleared off along with the triad of subject, object and action. This state indeed is called as mukti i.e liberation!!
