Breaking Boundaries and Building Communities: Welook’s Impact at ETHDenver
Welook’s team members share insights about the largest Ethereum conference of the year.
ETHDenver 2023 is in full swing with a packed schedule of workshops, panels, and presentations covering a wide range of topics. From Blockchain 101 to NFTs (what is NFT?), Metaverse, and Gaming, the conference is offering insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the blockchain industry.
Participants are engaging in a range of workshops, including “DAOs + Community,” “Decentralized Finance,” “Impact + Public Goods,” and “Infrastructure + Scalability.” The workshops are aimed for business leaders, developers, and creative artists. Attendees are gaining insights into the latest developments in blockchain technology and how it can be applied to different industries. Everyone’s also learning about the latest trends in NFTs, Gaming and infrastructure and how they are being used to create a ground-breaking growing and secure ecosystem.
ETHDenver has been running this week, and Welook, the web3 solution provider for brands and events, has been the tech partner for the conference.
Throughout the conference, attendees are also engaging in social gatherings, fireside chats, and creative artist sessions. These sessions provide a relaxed atmosphere for networking and collaboration, helping participants to connect with others who share similar interests and passions.
Welook’s ticketing solution and WeCard have been used by all participants for access and networking. Token-gating, made possible by tapping the WeCard or showing QR codes, has been the primary novelty of the event, providing benefits, perks, and access via proof of attestation points. We had the opportunity to speak briefly with a couple representatives of Welook who took a few minutes to answer about their experience working in partnership with ETHDenver.
The team at Denver shared that they hope to enable networking at a genesis level and to identify potential integration partners triggered by Welook’s different activations. “The response from attendees to the token-gated experiences has been positive, with immediate value seen on their faces.”, one of Welook’s team members said. Although most attendees are familiar with the concept, the experience with a physical card and not via phones or wallet signatures is a game-changer. Welook has been adjusting its products and features daily to consolidate the user flow, UX and create a more robust platform for everyone.
“NFTs are the bridge between hardcore crypto and the retail or consumers brands, enabling community building on a whole new level.”
Brands and community leaders who are interested in getting involved in the Ethereum event ecosystem should focus on learning the true usability of NFTs. Releasing tokens could just be the first step, adding value and creating an endless roadmap is what comes next.
The team in-site shared their hope that both event organizers and attendees understand the value of having an NFT ticket (made by bnfts Protocol), which is an unaltered proof of a genuine ticket. The WeCard can be leveraged offline to be an extension of the web3 profile, allowing attendees to play, connect, and network in a more fun way without having to use Telegram or send photos. With a single tap, attendees can save contacts’ details, using web3 technology in a web3 event.
“Those who have special tokens from past events are getting more benefits and access, so they are very happy. When they realized they got unique access that helps them connect with VIPs, leaders, CEO, VCs, etc their jaw drops. Also these perks help them feel a bit more at ease, like an OASIS outside of the beautiful chaos that an event of this size has.”
Attendees have been very happy with the ticketing experience so far, which is smoother than last year’s event. In fact, participants only had to show their ticket’s QR code to the volunteer at the entrance and pass through, a frictionless experience.
In conclusion, Welook has been providing an excellent web3 solution for brands and events, offering solutions like NFT ticketing, POAP distribution, and token-gated access to special venues, perks and swag. The in-site team have shared valuable insights on their experience working at ETHDenver, the importance of NFTs, and the value that Welook’s solutions can provide to brands and community leaders.
