What Makes a Man
Reflections, Ripples and Ramblings of a Restless Mind
What makes a man. Is it the strength of his convictions, or his ability to wear his weakness with pride. Is it the size of his wallet or what he chooses to spend the contents on. Is it his presence, his commanding nature or his vulnerability. His unflinching unwavering attitude or his ability to learn constantly, to reinvent himself constantly.
What makes a man. Is it the job he holds down or the child he picks up to embrace, is it the car he drives but can’t afford, or the journeys he takes in it, is it how beautiful others consider the woman by his side or is it her beauty. Is it what he gets or what he gives back.
What makes a man. Is it all of these or none. Or, is what makes a man, the calibre of his actions, the love he leaves in the world, how he touches the lives of those around him.
It is that he chooses to tread softly upon this earth but where he treads, others follow.
That is what makes a man.
