Data Integration

• Security Center objects are now available in Data Sync.

Prebuilt Templates & Apps

• One button to rule them all! New “App Refresh” button that will run a refresh for all the associated assets of your application: Recipes, Data sync, ED Models, etc… all in the required order. The refresh can be done immediately or scheduled.
• Get automatic upgrades to the following auto-installed apps: Customer Insights, Design App, Learning Adventure app. Please note that the upgrade will delete all your customizations.
• One Platform, One team! Use the new template “Analytics for Communications — Order Tracking template” to create a new Team Performance dashboard to analyze the performance of team members based on efficiency in completing assigned tasks.

App Building

• What if I told you that you can make a selection in a chart and this will instantly open another dashboard (or page or lens) with … wait for it … your selection applied! GA — This apparently was BETA in the previous release, I don’t know how but I missed it! Btw, this feature is called “Interactions”.
• Time for an upgrade! Compact Form 2.0 is now GA. Remember this is a new version of the underlying JSON that represent your steps, this new version is optimized to represent advanced features like “snowflake” data sources, windowing functions, column maps, etc…
• Sayōnara iFrames, Yōkoso LWC! Embedded Analytics Dashboards use now LWC technology.
• Edit queries with bindings! Previously you had to clone it or take a deep breath and dive in the JSON code 👩‍💻 🤿
• Input Widget can now be referenced in Columns or SAQL queries.
• Repeater Widgets and Conditional Formatting! As jurors you are not to be swayed by sympathy.
• Repeater Widgets and Tooltips! Please remain silent!
• Format how numbers display in a chart. Three flavors: Compact, Number or Percentage.
• Use “Connect Data Sources” to facet SOQL queries of SF objects with a Parent-Child relationship.
• Use Compare Tables and create Complex formulas for Direct Data.

Einstein Discovery

• End of the Story! Stories are now renamed to Models. Also the UI got much better.
• I need you to help me help you help me help you! Improve Recommendations with Decision Optimization so you can control Einstein’s suggested improvements by giving your business rules, objectives, and constraints, ie. You can tell ED: Please Maximize the CSAT but keep in mind that my Field Service Reps can visit the same customer only twice a month. PILOT
• See you in 5 minutes! Einstein now tell you how much time it takes to create/update a model. GA
• Lost In Translation? Customize the top predictor text of Einstein predictions so that they’re easier to understand (Previously, you could only customize Einstein’s suggested improvements).
• Smart Sampling is now GA.
• “Not so fast buddy! What on earth is Smart Sampling?”. Well this is when Einstein evaluates your data and then selectively reduces the number of rows used to train the model. This happens automatically when you have more than 5M rows and you are using XGBoost or Model Tournament algos. The whole idea is to run you model faster while keeping your data representative. Are we good now?
• Measure the quality of your model for each value group within a variable: I believe What I see. GA
• The “Queue” is a just a “Q” with a bunch of silent letters waiting in a line! Run 2 models at a time and Queue 5 others.
• Use Google BigQuery as a supplemental dataset for your deployed models.
• Einstein Predictions Lightning Component got a refresh. New UI, New UX.

Analytics for Everyone

• Users can now pin and hide their collections in the home page. (Previously, users couldn’t control which collections were displayed).
• Collections now open with a snapshot of its contents to give you a glimpse of what is the asset about.
• Let Slack links unfurl. Unfurl: /ʌnˈfəːl/. Verb. make or become spread out from a rolled or folded state. That is, when you send links to analytics items in Slack, the link unfurls to provide options for further interaction with the item like “view details” , “open in Salesforce” or even “Download as PDF”.
• CRM Analytics notifications in Slack can now include a snapshot of the widget and — yes, there’s more — a PDF file of the widget’s data.
