DISCLAIMER: This tutorial series is for educational purposes only. Any advice will be welcomed. I hope this will help you maintain your anonymity. I have used Windows 10 operating system for this tutorial, as it is most people’s primary operating system, but if you really care about your privacy it should not be used as your primary operating system. Use linux instead, and when possible, open source software. You don’t have to strictly follow the things I’m going to do. This is just to give you an idea so you can follow it or change what suits you best.
In this episode we are going to create an anonymous EOS account using a Telegram Chat Bot, it’s not very anonymous because you use your Telegram account, anyway we will delete the chat so it is supposed to “disappear” from Telegram. If in your country you can get a SIM card without KYC you can buy one and create an anonymous telegram account from Kodachi’s VM and use it to create the EOS account. When ZEOS is launched we will be able to create a fully anonymous EOS account. We will also install Anchor Wallet to use the account.
I recommend that you watch the video tutorial while reading this article to make it easier to follow the whole process.
I have simplified the tutorial as much as possible to make it easy and quick to follow. Let’s get started:
1) Downloading and Installing Anchor Wallet
Go to github.com/greymass/anchor/releases
Scroll down and click on the Linux version- amd64.deb
When it finish downloading, go to the Downloads folder.
Right click -> “Open Terminal Here”.
Write “sudo apt install ./linux-anchor-wallet-1.3.8-amd64.deb”
Tip: If you press the TAB key after writting ./li… it will autocomplete.
Now click the Kodachi icon on the bottom left corner and write “Anchor”. Right click and add to desktop.
2) Creating EOS account and adding it to Anchor Wallet
We search for CreateEOSAccount_Bot in Telegram
Click on it.
Press START.
Type /createaccountmlt
Follow the bot instructions
Copy the private key and open Anchor wallet
Click on Setup Account and create a password for your wallet.
Select EOS Blockchain and click on Import an existing Account.
Paste your private keys. Select the account(active) and import it.
Now that you have your EOS account delete the Telegram chat with the bot so you leave no traces of it.
Note: Remember to always check your IP. Use these accounts only for your anonymous life within the Kodachi VM. Once you use it in your main OS or with your real IP it is no longer anonymous.
