  • The Search Component in Theme Hero Banners in Aura Sites now has a fashion choice! You can either let it blend in or make it stand out, just like choosing between a blue jean 👖 or a clown costume 🤡.
  • Guess what 🤯? Einstein Scoring is now available for leads and opportunities in partner portals.

Components in Experience Builder

  • Cue the trumpets 🎺🎶: Enable conditional visibility in your enhanced LWR sites with Expression-Based Visibility, now GA.

No more jealousy in SUMMER’23
  • Don’t worry LWR sites, we’re not playing favorites anymore! With the new Knowledge Article component, you can now view Knowledge Articles like in Aura sites.
  • Introducing the newest hero 🦸 to your LWR site: the Actions Bar component! With support for standard and quick actions, your Salesforce records will be more action-packed than a Marvel movie. BETA
  • Enhanced Record Detail Component, who’s this? Now with improved editing capabilities for both desktop and mobile, and an added Edit option on the Action Bar. BETA

Developer Productivity

  • Listen up, migrate your Aura sites to Google Analytics 4 before SUMMER’23. Why, you ask? Because on July 1, 2023 Google is retiring Universal Analytics and replacing it with GA4. (This update was first available in SPRING’23 and is enforced in SUMMER’23)
  • 🔒 Lock up your Aura sites tight with Lightning Web Security, now GA! It’s like hiring a bodyguard for your code, and it’s gradually replacing Lightning Locker.
When you hire Lightning Web Security to protect your Aura sites
  • Display branded Toast notifications in LWR Sites using the — dxp styling hooks to match your site’s style. Your notifications will be toast-tally on point!
  • Toast notifications got a whole lot toastier 🍞! With the lightning/toastContainer for LWR sites, you can manage your notification messages and their positions. BETA
  • You site’s Administration workspace ▶️ Preferences section ▶️ Enable ‘Improve performance of Connect APIs in your LWR site’ (BETA) setting ➡ Taaa-daaaaa, watch Connect API performance soar like never before 🚀📈! (In orgs created in SUMMER’23 and later, this feature is enabled by default in enhanced LWR sites)
  • Sorry, ExperienceBundle’s gotta follow the rules now. Only custom pages for objects that are available in Experience Builder are supported in API 58.0 and later. Don’t worry, though, older API versions still let you do whatever you want!
  • Want to make your Lightning web components in LWR Sites even more customizable? Add custom property editors and property types to your components in Experience Builder. BETA

Site Performance

  • Don’t get lost in the Custom Domain jungle 🌴🦍! Let the In-App Guidance and the new learning map 🗺 guide you to the branded promised land of your Experience Cloud site.
  • Lightning Experience and Aura sites are now BFFs 👭! They share the same mechanism for loading and caching, resulting in a faster and more stable experience.
  • Who needs a GPS when you’ve got Dynamic Redirect Rules? Navigate your way from your site to an LWR site URL with ease, no coding necessary! BETA
  • Don’t let your portal become a crowded nightclub! Salesforce now sends you an email warning when you’re 95% close to hitting your Portal role limit, so you have time to make room for more users or enable Account Role Optimization.
  • Network memberships can’t hide from you anymore 🫣! The Setup Audit Trail is here to spill the beans on all your changes.
  • Query headaches, begone! Salesforce now notifies you by email when your membership request is processed.
  • Enhance authorization flow efficiency with JSON Web Token (JWT)-based access tokens for connected apps, eliminating the need to call a Salesforce endpoint for token information. Cool, huh? BETA

Security and Sharing

  • SUMMER’23 release means the end of the line for emails sent from unverified email addresses by the Guest User. So, if you want your guest users emails to get past security, check those options!
  • It’s just rude to send an email without introducing yourself, don’t you think 🤔? So in WINTER’24, if you want to keep those Chatter emails notifications flowing, make sure to fill a ‘From Name’ and ‘Email Address’ fields in Chatter Email Settings.
  • Don’t let just anyone crash your party — take control of the self-registration process! Disable those standard components for self-registration on Aura and LWR sites and make sure only the 🆒 kids get in.
  • Surfs 🏄‍♂️ 🤙, get ready to catch the wave 🌊 of Salesforce Edge Network as it rolls out between SUMMER’23 and WINTER’24. But if you’re not ready to catch it 🌊 just yet, you can defer the enablement from the My Domain Setup page.

Other Changes

  • Say goodbye to the Mobile Publisher App Update component as it joins the AppExchange retirement home on October 1st, where it can finally relax and reminisce about its glory days. Don’t let it suffer a slow and painful death on your site, retire it with grace and use the Minimum App Version settings instead!
Farewell old friend, you’ve earned your rest!
  • Sharing is caring, but not when it comes to Salesforce files! Set an expiration date or password on Public Links, or your sensitive data might end up on a public walk of shame. (By default, link expiration is enabled and set for 90 days)
