My Profile Picture
My profile picture is one I snapped in Washington D.C. It is a mural of Buck Hill, a jazz saxophonist, and a mail courier. That is reductivism, but I truly do not know much more about him.
What I know about Buck Hill is what I read in this article, which had me seek out the mural and its neighborhood. Beyond snapping a picture, I sat there and watched people go by, wondering if anyone knew Buck; wondering what it is like to be so ingrained in a community that the people there want to honor you in such a way.
