Bio

Hey! I am Harsha. I hail from Kolkata, a city in eastern India.

I grew up reading books. They are a part of my soul, and I can’t imagine a life without them.

I also love traveling. I have traveled extensively across the length and breadth of India. And I can say that I am a beach person. (Mountains are good too — but my palms and feet freeze in the cold, hence beaches!)

I am a big-time introvert, and as you may have already guessed, my least favorite words are “the more, the merrier”.

What do I do?

For a living

I am a management consultant by profession. I help global pharmaceutical companies solve their business problems. I advise them on how to increase revenues and reduce costs.

For a good living

Now we are talking!

I have one life, and I intend to make it the best possible. And to that effect, this is what I do daily:

  • Walk 10K steps
  • Lift weights in the gym
  • Eat healthy (Of course, I have a fair share of my cheat meals)
  • Meditate
  • Spend time in nature
  • Spend quality time with my loved ones

Yes, I am crazy about keeping myself physically and mentally fit.

What do I plan on doing?

On the personal side

I am going to marry the love of my life by the end of this year, and I am so excited.

In terms of exploring

  • Write, write, and then write some more on Medium.
  • Add value through my content on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Establish an audience through my writing.

To enjoy life

  • Go on treks and more adventurous trips.
  • Explore countries outside India. (I have only been to London, so far)
  • Read more and more books.

10 random fun facts about me

  1. I was featured on local television and in newspapers for being the state topper in 12th grade.
  2. I bake desserts. My favorites are chocolate brownie sundaes and Gulab Jamun cheesecake. (For the uninitiated, Gulab Jamun is an Indian dessert and my mouth is already watering)
  3. I am getting my nose pierced soon so that I can wear a nose ring at my wedding.
  4. When I came back from London, I had a stupid dream that I was standing for the election to become the queen of England. (Can’t help, it was a dream!)
  5. I have a weird obsession with almond croissants.
  6. I once went to a construction site for my civil engineering internship and fainted because of the scorching heat. That was when I planned to do an MBA.
  7. In the first two months of lockdown in 2020, I ate a big tablespoon of peanut butter daily. I've never touched it since then.
  8. If I could wear one color for life, it would be black.
  9. I am hydrophobic. I fear drowning in bodies of water where my feet cannot touch the surface.
  10. I have a thing for pizza with mushrooms and pasta with olives.
