Hi, I’m Lisa
And for many years,
I did not know who I was.

I was not the brightest in the room.
I was not the loudest, either.

I was the girl who sat back and watched.
The one who picked up on emotions others avoided.

I grew up in the midst of clamor
But I listened for the silence in between.

That is where I learned something strong:

People do not say everything they feel
But if you pay attention
Their story is written in their eyes, their hesitation, their sighs

That is where my passion for storytelling started.
Not in books
Not in schools
But in real moments
In raw, unfiltered emotion

I was not always a writer
But life kept bringing me back to the page
Again and again.
