What is The Worm?
The Worm is the first share-to-mint NFT on a mission to visit every wallet on the Ethereum blockchain. Every time The Worm visits a wallet it leaves behind a Holographic copy of itself to show where it has been. A full explainer is available on The Worm’s Medium page.
What is a Worm Hologram?
If you get The Worm and send it to someone else, The Worm will automatically mint a new Worm Hologram and leave it behind in your wallet as proof of its visit. Worm Holograms cannot be transferred or sold.
Why would I want The Worm?
To show that you were here in the NFT space early, of course! Having a Worm Hologram shows that you were in the NFT game first and that you participated in the first-ever share-to-mint experiment.
How do I get The Worm?
The only way to get The Worm is for whoever has it to send it to you. Whoever has The Worm decides where it goes next.
Throughout Worm history many groups have formed to share The Worm amongst themselves. They determine on their own how they’d like to coordinate. Some have used sign up forms while others have created Discord threads for organizing.
If you seek The Worm your best bet is to join the Ambition Discord (creators of The Worm) to see if someone there has it and wants to send it to you or would welcome you into their group.
The Worm has traveled through several groups inside the Ambition Discord as well as among other Discord servers such as The First Mint, The Cool Cats, the Sat NFT organization and Squanchland.
I got The Worm — what do I do with it?
It is up to you decide! Pass it along, sell it, hold a fundraiser — you pick!

Does The Worm cost money?
You can probably get someone to send The Worm to you for free! However when you transfer The Worm to someone else you will need to pay gas fees for the transfer.
How do I transfer The Worm?
If you have The Worm you can transfer it at theworm.wtf by logging in with Metamask and using the transfer feature. The transfer feature will only be visible once you are logged in.

Is the Worm on-chain?
Yes, The Worm is a 100% on-chain project (art, metadata, contract, etc.) As long as the Ethereum blockchain exists The Worm has everything it needs to continue its mission to visit evey wallet.
We hope in 50 years to see The Worm in every important NFT wallet and history museum in the Metaverse!
How many Worms are there?
According to Lore there is only one Worm:
1 Worm — 3 Segments
The Corporeal Form → The Worm stuck inside the scammer’s wallet
The Ephemeral Form → The Resurrected Worm traveling the blockchain now
The Ethereal Form → The Worm Hologram that lives in every disciple’s wallet
There are currently two Worm NFTs. The first is the pink, Corporeal Form which got stuck in a scammer’s wallet. The second is the white, Ephemeral Form which resurrected and continues its mission.
What happens if the Corporeal/Original Worm gets out of the scammer’s wallet?
Guess we’ll see :) The team has considered that this might happen and has ideas about what to do but we’ll see if it ever happens!
What is a Disciple and what is a Follower?
A Disciple is a person who has a Worm Hologram proving they had The Worm and passed it along.
A Follower is anyone who likes The Worm!
What is a Worm Blessing?
A Worm Blessing is a gift from The Worm to its Disciples (the people who have had The Worm in their wallets). The Worm gave a Blessing to the first 100 Disciples. The Blessing was a beautiful collab with Bryan Brinkman. These collab NFTs were given for free to the first 100 Disciples. Blessings can be anything that The Worm might want to give or make available to its Disciples.
The Worm announces its upcoming blessings on its Worm Trail page. The next blessing will be unlocked when The Worm has visited 1000 wallets.
What is a Worm Vigil Light?
On the 273rd step of its journey, The Worm got stuck in a scammer’s wallet. A month later The Worm Vigil was held. The Worm Vigil was a 48-hour period where people could mint a free Vigil Light at theworm.wtf to show their devotion to The Worm and their desire for it to continue its journey. When 273 lights were minted, The Worm resurrected and re-started its journey where it left off.
In the 48 hours of The Vigil, 2,112 Vigil Lights were minted which you can view on OpenSea.
The lights are a reminder to this glorious day and a way for Worm Disciples and Followers to show that they were a part of The Worm’s story. Unlike Holograms, Vigil Lights can be traded and sold.
Can I use The Worm for my project?
Yes! The Worm is an open-source and copyright-free project, registered using Creative Commons license 0 (Public Domain). You may use The Worm art in your project even if you never had The Worm.

Why are there Worm Holograms for sale?
Worm Holograms are unsellable — their Smart Contract prevents them from being transferred or sold and any attempts to do so will cause a failed transaction and lost gas.
Some Worm Holograms are for sale on OpenSea, but be warned that if you attempt to buy one you will not be able to.
Is The Worm sentient?
Yes ;) The Worm is a sentient being traveling the blockchain. Although The Worm relies on us to transfer it from wallet to wallet on its mission, The Worm has a message of hope and brotherhood for all of us.
