Since the launch of our SDK, things have really been heating up here at Charged Particles. November continued the trend with an ever-expanding list of protocol integrations, brand new utility for the IONX token, media features, governance votes, and more!

Coinbase Hackathon Begins

This month kicked off the Coinbase “Buidl The Future” Hackathon in which we are proud to be a Polygon ecosystem partner and sponsor. Dozens of hackers around the world are working together to innovate new technology across several different blockchains and we can’t see what they build. Bounties for building on Polygon include calls for DeFi and Gaming innovation — perfect for our tool set.

Allowlist & UI Integration Voting

Every two weeks we open a new governance proposal for integrating a new external contract into our Allowlist and UI integration pipeline. Winning contracts are then enabled with Charged Particles functionality, enabling NFTs from those projects to bring brand new utility to their platforms, games, applications, and user experiences.

Participating in governance enters you in a chance to win $100 of IONX as well as 1000 NOISE tokens, the official social token of Unchained Music, used to recognize community contributions.

New Utility for IONX

Another major announcement during November was our brand new utility for IONX. For the last year and a half, governance was our primary utility for the IONX token, and now, it’s used for much more.

You can now use IONX to join our SDK Early Adopter Program, a growing list of projects that are dedicated to integrating the Charged Particles Protocol into their platforms and infrastructure. Our first Early Adopters, Cortex lead the way just a few weeks ago.

Now, you’ll also be able to fast-lane your project’s contract allowlisting and UI integration progress, demonstrated by ReFi Guild member BasinDAO (read more below).

BasinDAO Uses IONX to Fast-Lane Integration

ReFi Guild project BasinDAO joined the list of projects that are using the IONX token to integrate Charged Particles. For projects such as this that don’t want to wait on the slower governance process of contract integration, IONX can be used to jump to the front of the queue.

We can’t wait to see BasinDAO using Charged Particles to bring positive ecological impact to river basins all around the world!

One Trillion $STATE Tokens Nested in an NFT

New crypto project, NWO STATE (Φ) has energized a whopping 1 trillion of their ERC-20 Governance Tokens inside a singular NFT. Listed for a whopping 66.6 ETH, this if officially the most tokens we’ve ever seen nested inside an NFT.

New Gaming Integrations

With our SDK tooling and IONX integration utility, we’re very excited for the coming month during which you should expect some announcements about integrations with a number of different platforms and projects within the Metaverse and Gaming space.

DeFi-NFT Viewer

Last month we announced our DeFi NFT Viewer app, and throughout November we have been doing a lot of testing and upgrading. As this DApp continues to become optimized, it will eventually come to replace our v1 marketplace and minting station. In November we saw contract sorting added as well as a number of small UI fixes added. We’d like to give a huge thanks to the community members that have been using it and testing it with us!

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 tokens into NFTs. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
