You get down onto your hands and knees, now seeing the creature is a hulking lizard in a cell like your own.

“Can you, um, speak…?”

“The door is locked,” hisses the creature.

You glance at the wooden door to your cell. “Yeah. Any advice on that?”

There’s a glint in the dark, and you hear a metallic scrape on stone. “I have your key.”

Your eyes widen (though not as much as its yellow eyes in the dark). “Great… pass it over, then.”

There is a scuffing noise as it slithers closer. “First, I need to judge your soul.”

Soul judgement time!!
