As part of my #weeknotechallenge I have decided to challenge myself to doing a different style of weeknotes every week (into double digets now!)

The other Ten are linked below:

‘Traditional’ Weeknotes , Gif-Notes , Sketch-Notes, Shanty-Notes, Week-quotes, Animal Crossing — Notes , Poster — Notes, Haiku — notes, Achievement — notes, Hanami — notes

This week I’m going all millennial and using Memes! I don’t even know why i chose Memes this week, but it sounded fun and i didn’t have the time to do anything extreme like a rap (still on my list for future tho)

Let’s just pretend there is some profound reason i chose memes and let’s start off at the beginning of the week which was Tuesday!

Easter Holidays be like

What was weird at the start of this week was how quiet everything was. A lot of the team are off on easter break. You would think working virtually it might not be very different… It is! Having not spoken to many people all week it can actually be a bit isolating even when you have a lot to concentrate on.

Something to think about in this hybrid world we are now in…

Still prefer the OG sorry Grogu

This week also stared my current group of Design buddies. When i first helped create this programme with GDS i didn’t think about how big or beneficial it would be buts it grown massively and i always hear positive things about it.

My current group has a mix of all areas of digital so i am learning lots about content design and UX.Once this cohort is finished i might write a blog or summary of all the tips and tricks so i can share with the team.

If you want to know more about the buddy groups you can look at the blog we wrote here (you can tell i helped from the title)

Now i gotta go watch extended again…

Because of the reduced number of meetings and people i have been using this week to finish a lot of overdue jobs and odd bits. I started the week by finishing the edit of the Podcast recording, which was a lot easier than normal, i need to work with children more often.

Also, because i love sharing best practise and collaboration i am also having initial conversations with the people who run the GDS podcast to see how we can work together in future.

Some other odd jobs i have been doing are creating a show and tell, idea generation for Learning@work week and creativity week and starting prep for my next pieces of design work.

Am i being too obvious?

It’s hard to talk about this one without jumping the gun on our planned promotion.

What i can say is… something BIG is coming.

#futurefest21

I’ll be back on form next week with something a bit snazzier, but it also shows that you can write a week note without having to put massive amounts of effort in!

Maybe that was my message afterall?

Sam out.
