Invest in the development of Nemesis Downfall

Hello downfallers,

Without more teasing, we are launching our Node sale. Here is what you need to know:

Read the complete Node Sale Whitepaper

>> Buy Nodes <<

Introduction

Nemesis Downfall is an ambitious project that combines innovative gameplay with cutting-edge blockchain technology. We intend to set the game apart by leveraging a distributed node ecosystem to enhance platform security, operational efficiency, and player experience. By integrating the Galachain Node Ecosystem Substrate, Nemesis Downfall aims to create a resilient and scalable gaming environment, safeguarding in-game assets and supporting the core gameplay.

Technical Architecture and Node Ecosystem

The distributed node network will be central to Nemesis Downfall’s architecture, playing a crucial role in hosting games, distributing updates, and securing the platform. The nodes are designed to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. By distributing processing power and storage across multiple devices, the platform will efficiently manage increased demand and provide a resilient gaming environment. Each node contributes computational power, with operators rewarded in $ND tokens and other perks, incentivizing active participation and maintaining the network’s integrity.

The game’s architecture will include a bridge between the BNB Network and GalaChain, allowing for seamless token transfers and increased flexibility in asset management. By leveraging GalaChain’s infrastructure, Nemesis Downfall ensures lower transaction fees and faster processing times compared to traditional blockchains.

What Is A Nemesis Downfall Node?

A Nemesis Downfall Node is run from a Node operator’s computer and is the single unit of work within the decentralized distributed
workload infrastructure. This Node is used to host the Nemesis Downfall game files and distribute them to new or updating players.
Nemesis Downfall Nodes will operate based on a location, then bandwidth priority. When a Nemesis Downfall Node starts, it will
declare its region and open itself up for players to download and patch the game. Players will be directed to a Nemesis Downfall
Node preferably to their own given region, and then to the Node that could send their resources the fastest. The determination for a
node in use will defer to the next fastest node if that node has less actively downloading players.

Tokenomics and Node Rewards

The $ND token is central to Nemesis Downfall’s ecosystem, operating on both the BNB Network and (future) GalaChain. With a maximum supply of 20 billion tokens, the project employs a deflationary mechanism where a percentage of tokens is burned with each game played, enhancing the token’s long-term value. The tokenomics strategy includes structured release schedules, vesting periods, and incentives for node operators, aligning all stakeholders towards the platform’s sustained growth and stability.

Node operators are rewarded for their contributions through a share of $ND tokens and other benefits, including discounts on in-game purchases and exclusive content. Starting in Q4 2025, node operators will also receive a proportional share of 10% of all in-game rewards, further incentivizing their participation in maintaining the ecosystem’s health.

Over three years, 850 million $ND tokens will be distributed to node owners. Starting in Q4 2025, node owners will receive 10% of all in-game rewards. They will also share 12% of the $ND tokens bought back by the platform. Additional benefits include monthly soft currency allocations, discounts on in-game purchases, and exclusive seasonal content, such as NFTs and skins. Node owners will be able to stake $ND with bonus APY, receive rare NFT skins, and enjoy increased XP gains. Nodes are ERC 1155 NFTs on the BNB chain, locked for 180 days post-sale, and can be sold after this period.

How to buy Nodes

You can buy Nodes from our Node sale page here.

Nodes can be purchased in USDT, USDC, ETH and GALA on the ETHEREUM network.

Nodes price depend on the current sale tier:

Nodes will be dropped to your wallet, you can connect to Opensea or ETherscan to confirm they have been delivered.

Referral system:

Once connected with your wallet on the Node sale page, you will have access to a referral tab and a referral link. Use this link to share the Node sale and earn 5% of the purchases made through it.

Read the complete Node Sale Whitepaper

>> Buy Nodes <<

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/35b9b847765cbedfea90d4b335f8a7e9/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around.

Coming next short term on Nemesis Downfall…

Hello Downfallers,

With the deployment of our brand new team mode, we have achieved a significant development milestone, and we feel that the game is almost complete enough to start promoting it and creating a player base. As such, we thought we’d give the community a heads up on what’s coming next for the project.

Almost there: fixing unwanted player behaviors

As stated, the game now has all the standard features players would expect in a modern FPS: a free to play mode, a competitive mode for those who like the thrill of potential big rewards, and a team mode for those who like to play with friends.

Despite the fact that it’s been a major point of feedback from players for a while, we have not prioritized solving the playability issues arising from players cheating and exploiting some of the game rules. That is, until now. Our next patch will indeed be focused on adding to ND a complete admin system, allowing us to detect, witness and sanction unwanted behaviors such as abusive abandons, farming, diverse cheats, AFKs and so on. We are confident that with the systems we’re about to implement, most of these behaviors will be rendered ineffective and will disappear, and the game will finally be as fun as it should be for normal players.

Making Nemesis Downfall Unique

Although we’re happy to say that we have now implemented the in-game features we wanted to make the game attractive, fun, and interesting to most players, it has never been our intention to have “just enough,” and as such, we have been working on our core differentiating system which we’re sure will make ND a different proposition from the rest of the GameFi FPSs out there, separating it from the rest of the pack.

Introducing our future class system. As already hinted, the current classes are only placeholders for the future complex system we’re designing. And although it’s still too early to present, we can start giving you an idea of what it will be.

The class system will be a set of specializations bringing their own specificities to the gameplay: on top of customizing their loadouts with weapons and items specific to each class, players will select class specific perks, such as reduced recoil, enhanced life, increased ammo capacity, etc. The complex set of perks associated to the class roles (Assault, breach, support, recon, etc) will be magnified by a system of class predilection for characters. As you know, we currently have a bunch of different characters and skins, which are only cosmetics. Well, the new class system will introduce bonuses for using specific characters and skins with specific classes, allowing for further customization.

On top of all that, we can already share that our current grenades are only the tip of the iceberg, as the class system will come with a lot more options for loadout items. Expect force fields, speed boosters, decoys and vision enhancers amongst other things. All of which will only be accessible to specific classes for which match a given role.

We’re very excited about our class system, as we know it is going to really drastically improve the interest of playing different characters and roles, and make Nemesis Downfall’s gameplay highly unique. We know it is also going to be a gamechanger for our team mode, introducing a massive amount of team composition strategy and gameplay!

Conquering Gamefi, finding players and investors

As we’ve already shared, we’ve successfully started our player acquisition strategy by partnering with guilds and creating quests and animations around the game.

But we’re not limiting ourselves to that, and we’re working hard on making the summer of 2024 a starting point for Nemesis Downfall to go global. In August, we will be present at the Coinfest Asia 2024 convention in Bali, Asia’s largest web3 festival acclaimed by a lot of the major actors of Gamefi such as Animoca Brands & YGG. We will be a part of a stand with our new partner, W3GG, one of the biggest gaming guilds worldwide, and we will be doing a Nemesis Downfall game demonstration on stage.

Shortly after that, we are working on another major event with a top web3 player that we can’t still announce, but expect Nemesis Downfall esports events and an exciting and important step for the project investors-wise.

To support the organization of these events, we are building a marketing strategy together with our event partners and KOLs, and we hope to be able to give ND a strong visibility boost, both on the gaming and market sides.

Longer terms plans

As you’ve probably understood, we published a beta version as soon as we could, sharing our development journey with the players and community. Since then, we have been relentlessly developing, adding the competitive mode, team mode, new maps, new characters, etc. And we’re not planning to stop anytime soon!

As projected in our initial roadmap, which we’ll update shortly, we have more in the pipeline, including new modes (Battle royale), mechanisms, tons of improvements on what we already have following player feedback, etc.

Project wise, we intend to keep developing our visibility while taking our spot at the top of web3 gaming, working with the leading industry players to improve the product & its visibility. We also hope our summer plans will help us with developing the project team and vision.

Marketwise, we are working on improving our ND token usage. Obviously, with the game being adopted, usage will come in-game, but we’d also like to improve it out of the game for our investors with different mechanisms, including staking or farming, in a timely manner.

In conclusion, Nemesis Downfall is at a turning point. We are now working hard for the world to realize the game and project’s potential, and we would appreciate the full support of the community to get Nemesis Downfall on as many screens and ND in as many wallets as possible!

We feel confident that our game is currently sitting above the competition, especially considering what we have in the pipeline for it. We also feel confident that now is a good moment on the market for our ND token to get out of its idle state and start turning eyes as well.

Downfallers, it is time to assemble and help us show what we have!

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/c60b8592b3e94bb420dc0cb224055c80/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around. At the same time, we would like to acknowledge the short term success of our strategy that aims at making Nemesis Downfall a staple of 2024–2025 Gamefi, and also share a little of what’s coming next!

Thanks to our early members and partners

First, we wanted to thank some of our members who discovered the project and game early and are still around, playing, contributing and providing feedback. You guys are much appreciated!

We would also like to thank our early partner PancakeSwap, on which gaming marketplace Nemesis Downfall’s Beta was successfully launched back in February.

Going mainstream: Gamefi aggregators

As mentioned above, we have decided that in parallel to our constant development of the game, it was time to start conquering gamefi, not with a bang, but at a steady and consistent pace.

To achieve that, we have worked with several web3 gaming partners and aggregators, and have successfully held campaigns to promote our presence on Gam3s.GG and Earn Alliance and the CARV Play platform, 3 of the biggest gamefi platforms and communities out there.

As a result, we achieved two important milestones of passing 10,000 Nemesis Downfall accounts created, and 20,000 games played since the launch of the Beta. Also, all of our social media accounts are growing and receiving more attention and more participation.

What’s next ?

Our intention is to keep growing the project’s visibility the same way, working with more partners and platforms in both the short & long term, some of which we’ll reveal pretty soon.

But not only this…

Without disclosing too much, we can already tell you that we are cooking a major event which should impact both the investors and players of Nemesis Downfall, with top of the line partners! stay tuned as we’ll communicate more on this in the coming weeks!

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/35b9b847765cbedfea90d4b335f8a7e9/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around.

Introducing Eyes on the Prize games

Hello Downfallers

In the next patch, coming soon, we will add to Nemesis Downfall a new game mode: Eyes on the Prize, gathering both a skirmish game with up to 30 people in game, and a new duel mode (on a new 1v1 map — stay tuned!).

We believe competitive matches will bring a whole new excitement to the game, as it settles Nemesis Downfall even more in the crypto narrative where you can quickly multiply your money if you make the right calls! Here is a quick introduction to it:

Play with a stake, win and take the Vault home

Eyes on the Prize is a new mode where players have to purchase an entry ticket to play. The current ticket is set at a value of $1 USD and is payable in $ND token.

Players can either pay for their tickets with their rewards previously earned in-game, or by depositing an ND balance in their Nemesis Downfall account.

All the entry tickets from the game participants are gathered into a Vault, and the players now compete to win that vault.

The top 3 players of the game then get to share the Vault with a 60% — 20% — 10% repartition. 5% of the vault is taken aside as a participation to the project treasury, which is used to cover infrastructure costs, and 5% participates to the burn effort through our reward & burn system. As usual, that repartition is a first setup and might be adjusted later on based on community feedback and project needs.

The rules of the competitive games have been slightly adapted to match the stake better. The win condition is now to be leading the score at the end of the allocated time period of 12 minutes.

This patch will also introduce anti self-kill and anti abandon measure and prevent the spectate exploit to ensure fairness of the competitive games.

Example

Player joins an Eyes on the Prize — Skirmish game on Military Base and adds his $1 worth of ND to the vault like all 29 other players.

The vault is now worth $30 of NDs of which $27 will be redistributed to players

After 12 minutes, Player leads the score and wins the game, taking home 60% of the Vault or $18 worth of NDs.

In just 12 minutes, Player has x18 his money.

Going further

As you know, we are currently in a BETA phase and using this opportunity to test our features and new developments.

With this logic, we are launching the competitive games with a reasonably priced entry ticket, introducing a nice stake and a good return, with a limited risk.

Once the mode is sound and tested, we have plans to release different tiers of competitiveness with progressively higher stakes, and of course bigger opportunities to multiply earnings!

We are working on the very last items of the next patch, expect it in the coming days. It will feature the Eyes on the Prize mode, new 1v1 map, many corrections and fixes, some UI improvements and more! Stay tuned!

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/c60b8592b3e94bb420dc0cb224055c80/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around. Suddenly, she hears noise coming from the trees: she is being followed. Faced with various options, she decides to try the friendly approach:
— Hello? I heard you, you can come out and talk to me if you want!
A dozen seconds pass before someone emerges from the woods: a young woman, barely in her twenties. She doesn’t seem armed or threatening, just… lost. Lily signals for her to approach.
— Don’t worry. There won’t be any trouble. What’s your name?
She shrugs and doesn’t answer.
— I’m Lily.
Still no response. Lily wonders if the young woman is capable of speaking. She doesn’t really have time to delve into the question: they are too exposed and they need to move.
— Follow me.
The only solution is to bring her to the group.

When Lily reaches her group’s settlement, she waves her arms vigorously: those on guard can recognize her and won’t have to take the usual precautions reserved for strangers.
— Who’s this? asks a guard, talking about the young woman accompanying Lily.
— She was following me and she’s clearly not dangerous, Lily replies.
— Did you check if she’s armed? No? Sorry but we’ll still have to search her.
With the check yielding nothing, Lily takes her to see Paul. He is sitting on the ground, looking pensive but he seems to snap out of it when he sees the stranger alongside Lily.
— Who do we have here?
— Someone who seemed lost and not very talkative, Lily declares.
— I’m Paul, he says, extending a hand towards the young woman. Nice to meet you.
The young woman looks at the extended hand and shakes her head slightly.
— No problem, says Paul, smiling. In this group, everyone is free to do what they want, as long as it doesn’t harm others. You… can’t speak?
She shakes her head again.
— Okay, we’ll find a better way to communicate. I apologize, I have to deal with other priorities right now but I invite you to sit down and stay with us.
Lily also sits down to face Paul and make her report:
— The forest is not ideal: few animals, few raw materials… I met two men heading west, where a society is apparently emerging. A place called Birth, I think?
— Things are moving fast. Matt also reported that another group is starting to organize in the south.
— What’s our goal then? Still building something of our own? Or do we join another community to quickly get a structure and take less risk?
— Less risk? Paul retorts. But the problem is precisely that joining another community is risky.
— How so?
— What distinguishes our group from others, in your opinion?
— Uh… I’m not really sure.
— Its open-mindedness, Paul declares. Do you think everyone finds it fascinating that we don’t know much about our past? No, for some, probably the majority, their past was stolen from them. For us, aliens arouse curiosity, but for others…
— Oh yes, you’re right! Lily exclaims. By the way…
She pulls out the alien artifact given to her by John and shows it to Paul. The young stranger also looks at it, as if mesmerized.
— It cost a life because someone hated aliens, Lily explains.
— And it’s actually quite natural, says Paul, examining the ring closely. Don’t we always talk about ‘alien invasion’? That automatically makes them enemies.
— But why is it different for us? Lily asks.
— I have my share of responsibility, admits Paul. I quickly caught your attention and laid out my questions: are the aliens our enemies if they haven’t exterminated us? What has happened since their arrival? Why have they left us in this specific state? In short, I think I inadvertently influenced this group and potentially made it unfit to get along with others who have different views.
— But your questions are legitimate. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have easily adhered to them, says Lily. So, I think with communication…
— Lily, does what you remember from 2024 lead you to believe that communication is a strong aspect of our species? Not to mention the permanent fear looming since the Awakening… I’m not saying it’s impossible, of course. But as I mentioned earlier, I think it’s riskier than trying our luck on our own.
Lily has to admit that he’s right. Paul stands up and summons the rest of the group, leaving only the guards at their posts. He will personally inform them later of what was said during the assembly.

— Friends, do you know how psychology works? It is all about acquired knowledge. We understand something about the world and life, and that serves as a basis for building reasoning, convictions, and then certainties. Then, through communalism or confirmation bias, individuals further reinforce these certainties until they become unquestionable. Our group quickly wondered what the aliens wanted, and several ideas sprouted from that: maybe they’re not really warlike if they left us alive on their way out? Maybe we’ll ensure our survival by finding out what they want and achieving it. What do we really know about their intentions? Nothing. But others didn’t ask these questions: they categorized them as invaders and enemies. And maybe they’re right! But if we confront their certainties with ours, which is that we at least admit that we don’t know, there is a strong risk that things will go wrong.
He takes a deep breath:
— Today is a great day. Our scouts have returned, unfortunately without a place where we could settle, but with the information that communities are beginning to establish themselves and thrive. But above all, one of us has brought back this!
He raises his hand, in which he holds the alien artifact brought back by Lily:
— An object that clearly belonged to them! What does it do? What is it for? No idea! However, we may be able to discover it by asking the right questions. But for that, we probably need to give up joining groups that have different certainties. That’s why, in my opinion, we need to continue looking for a place where we can settle down and build our own home. But as you know, everyone here is free to do what they want as long as it doesn’t harm others. So if some of you want to leave and join other communities in the west or the south, we will help you to get there safely. For the others, today is the day we declare our independence and our desire to know more! We call this period the Chaos, but alien artifacts like this may allow us to put an end to it!
The group exults: no one wants to leave. Lily thinks that Paul always goes a bit too far in his speeches. She takes a glance at the new girl and sees that it is clearly working on her: she looks at Paul with admiration.

The group continues to search for a place to settle. As they meet more people, five more join in, bringing the total to twenty-seven. Then the reputation of the community begins to precede it, causing more and more individuals to join precisely because they want to find answers about the aliens. The number quickly rises to forty.
Meanwhile, Lily is responsible for the stranger she found in the forest.
— Shouldn’t we give her a name? she asks Paul.
— I’d prefer it to come from her rather than impose it.
— But she can’t speak.
— I think she just doesn’t want to. Lily, out of all the people we’ve met, how many can speak?
— All except her.
— And have you ever thought about how that’s possible? We remember nothing about our past, shouldn’t that include language?
— Yes, that’s true…
— By the way, do you have any idea what language we’re speaking right now? How come we’re all speaking the same? Shouldn’t there be different languages depending on our origins, like in 2024?
— You’re right! I can’t remember the languages of 2024, so I don’t even know what we’re speaking now!
— Exactly! The situation is very simple: the aliens wanted us to speak and write, so we are able to speak and write. So our new friend is surely able to do so as well, it’s just that she doesn’t want to.
Lily has never thought about language before and she finds Paul’s answer dizzying. But then, what was missing for the stranger to speak?
— Give her some time, Paul adds. Don’t you think she’s smiling much more than before already?

One day, Lily and her accomplice set out to explore one of the rare buildings that is standing: maybe it was suitable for the group’s installation. They enter discreetly and explore it: it’s deserted. Lily finds the interior strange: some aspects resemble what could be done in 2024, but others seem technologically much more advanced. The aliens? Then there’s no doubt anymore: the young stranger leads her to a chest containing several opaque helmets with a strange shape. They don’t match the traditional image of a helmet: they seem menacing and elongated. Is it even possible to see once the head is inside?
Lily thinks that given the group’s views on aliens, it’s impossible to leave them there, even if wearing these things could put them in danger in case of an altercation. She signals to her companion: they’re going to bring the helmets to Paul.
When Paul sees them coming with the alien objects, he immediately convenes an assembly.
— My friends, the time has come. Firstly, we have found where to settle: the building explored by Lily and our comrade.
— But Paul, Lily intervenes, the building is not ideal and…
— That doesn’t matter: we’re talking about superior beings making things beyond our understanding capabilities. Is it possible to remember 2024 without remembering who we are? No. Is it possible not to remember who we are but still be defined by what we experienced in the past? No. And yet, here we are, in an impossible situation and with what looks like an ineluctable destiny. The aliens are capable of miracles, and we must proclaim it loudly. No, the building is surely not perfect, but we haven’t found a suitable place for a while now. On the other hand, this building offers us two relics that may explain why we are here! So it must be important and we should stay there, that’s all!
Murmurs spread through the crowd.
— I understand your hesitation but listen to me! It’s time to leave 2024 behind us! Everyone wonders what the aliens did on Earth, but it is actually quite simple: they gave us a second chance! Everyone has in mind the problems we had before, and many believed that we were going to be saved by superior beings. And today, when everything starts from scratch by inconceivable means, we are supposed to find a rational explanation? No, the reality is that the aliens are our masters. Nothing is preventing them from coming back, nothing was preventing them from crushing us like ants when they controlled us, but the aliens are not vengeful! They are good: they rectified the world and once again left us with free will and our destiny in our hands! These artifacts are here to remind us of their existence, their greatness, and to prevent us from straying back into darkness!
He approaches the young stranger and Lily before asking them to join him in front of the crowd.
— These women have found the relics! They are therefore best placed to become our first Adepts!
— Adepts? asks Lily.
— Yes! Our group will officially recognize the superiority of the aliens, making us Adepts. I’m not asking you to submit to a cult or a religion like those that existed before the Awakening, just to take a stand together, admit the irrefutable, and be ready to challenge anyone who refuses to see the truth.
He reaches out to the young woman: this time, she takes his hand.
— My friend. It’s impossible for me to know why you don’t speak. And I bet even you don’t know because it’s caused by traumas from the past that you don’t remember.
She nods vigorously.
— The aliens have allowed you a rebirth, but unfortunately it’s incomplete: around you, you’ve only seen humans, this species that is the cause of the evil within you. But thanks to this helmet, you will be able to put yourself in the shoes of superior beings. You will represent those we all respect here, a force capable of sweeping away the past and its hold with a mere flick of the hand. Are you ready to be reborn as a Follower, comrade?
Lily could never have imagined that things would take such a turn. The young stranger nods her head.
— Then, choose your new name, faithful one. Then put on the helmet and become a Follower!
— Phantom.
Upon hearing her voice for the first time, the crowd goes wild. The girl puts on the helmet.
— A miracle!
— The aliens!
— My friends, Paul shouts, here is the First follower of our group! The first voice of our masters! Phantom!
— Thank you, she exclaims, clearly moved by what is happening.
Lily can’t believe her eyes or ears. Paul managed to make her speak. She doesn’t think it’s related to a miracle or even to the helmet, but maybe it’s a higher power: the collective. Phantom feels protected, listened to, supported… That’s also what faith does: bring together different people. Lily guesses her friend’s tears under the alien helmet, but she doesn’t really have time to be carried away by emotions.
— Your turn, Lily, says Paul.
She approaches, the helmet still in her hand.
— As for Phantom, you need to find a new Follower name for yourself! declares Paul. If I remember correctly, you chose Lily a bit reluctantly, right? So how would you like to be called now?
She doesn’t know why, but she always wanted something threatening. She looks at the helmet and finds that it can give a reptilian look. Lily raises it above her head and shouts:
— Viper!
The crowd chants the names: “Viper! Phantom! Paul!”
— My friends, the first Adepts of our group! I now propose that we go inside our new home, then we will see how to proceed for those who also want to become Adepts!
Alien technology amazes Viper: she sees through the helmet as if it were transparent. Yet, looking at Phantom, the helmet is clearly opaque. So maybe the aliens are indeed all-powerful.

Understand Nemesis Downfall’s rewards

During patch 1.0.4, we deployed our automated rewards distribution algorithm after a few weeks of internal simulations. We now also have a few weeks of live data and are comfortable with how it behaves. We believe it is now time to explain how it works.

Balancing and adjusting rewards

We would like to remind Downfallers of our initial statement and the base line we’ve been following through the development of the project: Nemesis Downfall is conceived as a video game with crypto rewards to incentivize players, and not as a Play-TO-Earn.

With that logic, we have conceived a system that preserves both the rewards reserves and makes sure they will last for the lifetime of the game (multiple years), and the ND market to ensure holders are not being put under constant pressure of the rewards flooding the market.

Our system is adjustable, and we are using the Beta phase to fine tune our settings, define most suitable total amounts of rewards, amounts burnt, minimum withdrawals etc. We consider all these parameters as variables that we can and will adapt to balance the rewards distribution. This also includes temporary modifications, for example to increase rewards temporarily before or during an event, etc.

The rewards algorithm

The algorithm’s role is to distribute a defined amount of rewards tokens fairly to an undefined amount of games over a specified time frame (currently: daily)

The defined amount of token is based on a daily dollar amount converted to ND at the price of ND during snapshot. That dollar amount can be adjusted.

As part of our Reward and Burn mechanism, 20% (adjustable) of the NDs to be distributed are added to the burn pool which is sent to the burn address every week, and 5% are added to the infrastructure treasury meant to cover operational costs.

Based on that defined daily token amount, the algorithm allocates a fixed amount of tokens per hour. It calculates a distribution per game based on the rolling average number of games of the previous 3 hours.

Rewards for 1 game are capped to an amount that is adjustable to avoid cases were amount of games per hour are so low that players receive an abusive percentage of the daily allocation. Tokens allocated over cap are instead fed to the vault.

If the number of games during the hour “T” is less than the average of the last 3 hours (T-3), the remaining tokens that were allocated to that hour but not distributed are stored into a vault.

If the number of games during the current hour is more than the average of the last 3 hours, the missing tokens are taken from the vault.

Based on the player base growth, the vault is designed to deplete during peak hours and refill during less busy hours. If the vault was to fill beyond a certain cap, it would be trimmed weekly and tokens would be used in a mix of player rewards / tournament rewards / burns / tax.

With that model, the algorithm will split the same amounts of rewards hourly whatever the number of players is, resulting in less individual rewards when there are a lot of players in game, and more when the game is less busy. This helps optimize the servers load.

Winners attributions

Once the final amount of ND rewards is calculated for each given game, it is split as follow:

50% to top 1.

30% to 2nd.

20% to third.

This repartition is adjustable and is specific top the deathmatch mode. It might be different for the future modes.

Earning and Spending rewards

As highlighted in our in-game economy presentation, the $ND token is the utility token of the game and as such can be used in-game to purchase cosmetic skins and NFTs.

In the near future, it will also be usable to enter the competitive games, buy season passes and different other things.

We wish to incentivize even more the use of rewards in-game and will be exploring different leads during the beta, including but not limited to in-game staking, conditioning partial reward earning to spendings, voluntary burning, abandoned micro balance sweeps & burn, etc.

We are also working on a check-in function that will reward players for returning to the game daily with bonuses and rewards multiplicators adding up with unbroken check-in series (more to come on this).

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/35b9b847765cbedfea90d4b335f8a7e9/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around.

Chapter 1: Rob & John

A man falls into a ditch in the middle of a forest. He berates himself terribly for making such a mistake, especially since he was discreetly searching for animal tracks: in this world, a hunter can quickly become the prey. And indeed, a figure looms over the ditch, wielding a large branch as a weapon. In a position of weakness, the man in the ditch casts a determined glance: he will not surrender without a fight. The two men stare at each other for a moment, then the one armed lets go of his branch, bends down and extends his hand. The other takes it to pull himself out of the hole he’s fallen into. Once out of trouble, he introduces himself to his new companion in a breath:
— I’m Rob.
— John.
The latter gestures for him to follow. Rob complies without a sound: even in pairs, they must remain discreet.

They walk for a few hours, gathering as much edible food as they can along the way. As night falls, John leads Rob to the clearing he had spotted earlier. They gather enough wood to make a fire and Rob quickly lights it with two stones. But just before they can settle in:
— Excuse me?
They startle and see a woman at the edge of the clearing.
— May I join you? I’ve been observing you for a while, and you don’t seem dangerous. You can check that I’m not armed, of course. And don’t worry about food, I’ve already eaten.
The two men exchange a glance: even if she’s unarmed, caution is warranted. But it’s two against one so they should be able to handle her. If she’s not alone, the clearing will provide a good vantage point to see any attackers coming.
The three individuals gather around the fire.
— My name is Lily, says the young woman.
— I’m Rob.
— John.
— I’m always curious, how did you come up with your name? Do you think someone, somewhere, remembers theirs?
— I don’t think so, says John. It seems that it’s the same for everyone: no personal memories, just general knowledge about the world in 2024, and then…
— The blackout, declares Rob. But everybody knows that it’s because the aliens invaded our planet, right?
— Yes, says Lily, but we don’t know how, what they look like, or what has happened since.
— By the way, what year is it? asks Rob. And where are we?
— No one knows, John replies. Given the vegetation and the few traces of civilization we come across, we’re probably still on Earth. But since it doesn’t resemble the world as we recall it and we don’t have the means to map or date, it’s impossible to know. But the most terrifying thing is not remembering who we are. Our first name, last name, what we were doing in 2024… Nothing.
— And at the same time, Rob intervenes, I feel like I have knowledge about surviving in nature. Maybe I was a Ranger or something like that.
— In that case, kudos for falling into the ditch, retorts John.
— I know… rookie mistake. I was looking for animal tracks to set traps, then I slipped on mud and… you know the rest.
Lily interrupts:
— You still haven’t answered my question.
— … long stories, says John.
— And the best way to get to know each other! It’s not like we have better things to do…
— I can start if you want, says Rob, it’ll be quick. So, when I… woke up?
— With my friends, we call it the Awakening or the Departure, explains Lily, since it probably coincides with the departure of the aliens.
— OK, during the Awakening, I found myself… dazed? Like everyone else, I suppose, which is quite natural. Then I saw people around me starting to get scared. Like them, I began to understand that there’s no more structure, no government, nothing stopping anyone from attacking me. So I discreetly moved away and headed straight for natural areas like this one: since the majority of people were city dwellers in 2024, I figured that they wouldn’t naturally go there, or at least that I’d have an edge thanks to my knowledge. And I don’t know if there was something like Ranger Rob in 2024, but it rang a bell, so I chose to introduce myself as Rob. That’s it.
— So you have been alone since the Awakening?! asks Lily. Is this the first time you’ve talked to someone?
— Yes. As long as I managed on my own, I didn’t feel like I needed company… I’ve come across a few people, some clearly dangerous, others seemingly more friendly, but I preferred to avoid everyone.
John nods approvingly.
— Survival above all.
Lily turns to him:
— You too?
— No, replies John, it’s different for me. On the day of the Awakening, like Rob, people started getting scared, but several of us managed to calm them down. Some went their own way like Rob, but the rest decided to stick together: there were seven of us. We shared the work to survive, talked a lot about our memories, or rather our loss of memory… And we decided that each of us would be named by the others. Someone suggested John, several said that it suited me well, so now my name is John.
— But then, where is your group? Lily asks.
John sighs.
— One day, we found firearms.
— What?
— Yes, some firearms in a box. Which is reassuring when you stumble upon them, but much less so when you realise that there might be others out there that fell into the wrong hands. Anyway, we took them in case we needed to defend ourselves, and continued on our way until I came across this.

John pulls out of his pocket a strange object that is clearly not made by humans.
— What… starts Bob.
— It’s theirs! Lily exclaims. It’s the aliens’!
— Yes, says John. There’s not much doubt about that.
— May I? Lily asks.
— Yes, go ahead.
John hands the object to Lily, who examines it closely.
— Anyway, John continues, I found this and Yohan, one of the group members, joined me. He saw the object and… I don’t know how else to say it, he lost control. He told me it had to be destroyed immediately, because it could bring us all back under the control of the aliens. I explained to him that we needed to consult the group before doing anything rash and that personally, I would keep that thing until we have the means to study it. He pulled out his gun and threatened me with it. There was fear and hatred in his eyes, and I think that it wasn’t the first time I’ve seen that look. Maybe I was a soldier before the alien invasion or something like that. So I grabbed his weapon and tried to subdue him, but a shot went off during the fight and Yohan died in front of me. Soldier or not, I don’t think one gets used to that.
Lily and Rob are hanging on his words. Lily isn’t even looking at the alien artefact anymore.
— So I left immediately. I couldn’t see myself explaining to the group what happened, and I felt like I didn’t belong with them anymore. Since then, I’ve been travelling alone, hiding, a bit like Rob, but one day I overheard a couple’s conversation: a new society is getting built in the West, a place called Birth. So I’m going there.
A heavy silence follows his story.
— I’m sorry, says Lily. Now I don’t know if I should tell you about the story of my name…
— Why? asks Rob.
— Because I’m part of a group. And for now, fingers crossed, we’re still together.
— Don’t worry, says John. What’s in the past is in the past.

Lily takes a deep breath:
— The beginning is more or less like John’s: people start getting scared, but a man (who is now called Paul) manages to calm them down. We form a group of about twenty people and help each other. Like your group, we talk a lot about the invasion and the missing memories, but we don’t hate the aliens. I mean: with everything that they’re capable of, why didn’t they just exterminate us? Why did they take away our memory? What happened during their reign? There’s something fascinating about not having all the answers, isn’t there? she says, brandishing the artefact. Anyway, about my name, it took some time to find one that suits me. Paul suggested the name of a flower, but I found it too… I don’t know, cliché? So I told him I would only accept the name of a poisonous flower. He told me that lilies were toxic to pets. I found it pretty and kept it, even though I would have preferred something more menacing.
— Why did you want a menacing name? asks Rob.
— I don’t really know. Maybe a remnant of my life before, like you? Anyway, we’re looking for a place to settle with my group, and I was sent as a scout here to see if it could be suitable then I stumbled upon you. You seem to have been here longer than me, so I thought you could give me a hand.
— If you’re looking for animals as a food source, Rob says, I haven’t seen any tracks near the water points, so I don’t think there are any, or at least there are not enough for twenty people.
— There don’t seem to be any other humans settled here, John adds, so no territorial struggle or potential enemies. It’s rather isolated so that’s good, but as Rob said, I don’t know if there are all the resources you might need. If the idea is really to settle down, there might be a lack of raw materials to build something more durable than tents.
— OK, so that probably won’t be our spot. But… Lily hesitates, do you want to join us? You seem to have interesting skills, and we’re ready to welcome anyone as long as you’re not… unstable?
— I’d rather not, John replies. I don’t think groups are for me: I need more structure, a real framework. That’s why I want to reach Birth. I think that I could become a soldier there and avoid responsibilities that don’t suit me.
— And you, Rob?
— Me… I admit I’m not sure. I can’t see myself staying alone now that I’ve talked to you guys. I don’t have strong convictions about aliens, frameworks, or society. The only things I love are nature and my friends: John, you trusted me and pulled me out of that ditch. If you don’t mind, I’ll go with you. Don’t worry, you won’t be the leader or anything: I’ll just be your comrade, covering your back.
Rob extends his hand. John hesitates for a second, then takes it.
— That’s beautiful! Lily exclaims sincerely. Listen, if you come across my group, you’ll always be welcome!
— Thank you Lily, says Rob. I’m glad you two are the first people I’ve really met.
— By the way, I need to give this back to you before I forget, says Lily, handing the alien object to John.
— You know what? Keep it. If you find the aliens fascinating, maybe it’ll bring you more luck than it did me.
Lily’s eyes shine and she has to refrain from hugging John.

Supporting Nemesis Downfall’s token

As we just realized our second liquidity addition & burn through our Liquidity Incentive Program, and are on our 5th week of rewards distribution & burn, we wanted to highlight the deflationary model we’re creating for our ND token.

What is a deflationary token ?

In simple terms, a deflationary model in cryptocurrency refers to a mechanism designed to decrease the supply of a token over time. This reduction in supply is achieved through various techniques, such as token burning, where a portion of the tokens is intentionally removed from circulation and rendered unusable.

Unlike traditional inflationary models, where new tokens are constantly minted, deflationary models work in the opposite direction, striving to make each token more valuable by reducing the total supply. This scarcity can drive demand, leading to an increase in the token’s price as more holders seek to acquire it.

How is the ND token deflationary:

We are using different mechanisms to make the ND deflationary, covering all areas of the project, from product to market to revenue.

Product: Economy and rewards generated burn

The project guaranties a burn effort directly through the Nemesis Downfall game as every rewards distribution to players generates an associated 20% burn. The tokens burnt are withheld before distribution, ensuring it is not taken from players rewards but from project reserves.

Additionally, the future features of the game such as the seasonal pass, competitive games etc. will generate a percentage of burn, involving users in the burn effort.

Both streams will scale directly and largely with the game adoption and community growth.

Market: Liquidity Incentive & burn

To support the market, the project has launched a Liquidity Incentive Program, essentially acting as a double burn mechanism:

The stable coins obtained are used to add liquidity to our pairs (mainly our PancakeSwap ND/UST pair), allowing us to improve token market availability and facilitate buys & sells.

The LP tokens are locked 20 years, essentially equaling a burn of the underlying ND tokens.

In addition, the project burns an amount of ND tokens proportional to the added liquidity.

Revenues: Buyback and Burn

In the future, it is our intention to use a part of the revenues generated by the game in non-ND tokens to buyback ND tokens on the market and burn them.

These Buybacks will start once we hit revenues above the threshold necessary to run the game, cover infrastructure costs and project expenses etc. They will scale up with game adoption and community growth.

Other deflationary levers

We are considering other means of making the ND token deflationary, including temporary ones through stakings and / or LP farming. However these mechanisms do tend to reduce the amount of circulating token on the short term, but at the cost of an overall dilution of holders which needs to be carefully thought through. We are also studying the possibilities offered by in-game staking with different types of rewards, and will communicate more on these when we get into these developments.

How do burns serve ND holders?

Increased Scarcity

By decreasing the token supply through mechanisms like burning, a deflationary model enhances scarcity. With fewer tokens available for trading, the existing tokens become more valuable. This scarcity can create a sense of exclusivity, attracting buyers who anticipate future price appreciation.

Price Appreciation

As the token supply diminishes and demand remains constant or increases, the price of the token tends to rise. This price appreciation benefits holders, allowing them to profit from their investment as the value of their tokens increases over time. In essence, holding onto deflationary tokens can serve as a hedge against inflation and a means to preserve and grow wealth.

Community Engagement

Our Deflationary mechanisms incentivizes community engagement. Anyone willing to participate to the burn effort can play the game and/or participate to the Liquidity Incentives program. This fosters a sense of belonging and encourages long-term commitment among holders, thereby strengthening the project’s community and sustainability.

Deflationary Pressure

The constant reduction in token supply exerts deflationary pressure on the token’s value. This means that over time, each token becomes increasingly valuable, incentivizing holders to retain their investment rather than sell. Consequently, a deflationary model can contribute to price stability and reduce the risk of significant price fluctuations.

The ND token plays a central role as the utility token of the Nemesis Downfall game and runs its entire economy. For the project and game to be successful, it must remain attractive to holders and potential investors, and its deflationary model is here to ensure this. With time, we’ll work on more token uses and mechanisms to improve its attractivity even further.

About Nemesis Downfall
https://medium.com/media/35b9b847765cbedfea90d4b335f8a7e9/href
Nemesis downfall is the first ever FPS Play-and-earn game developed as a game with crypto serving it and not the other way around.
