Hi there, it’s Maria Garcia, owner of the Mind in the Gap publication.

What a month it has been! For those who are new here, welcome to the Monthly Newsletter. June was our second official month here at Mind in the Gap, and I am excited to share our progress with you all!

Our Team of Writers & Readers

I would like to thank all of the writers who have shared their beautiful stories in this publication this month. Your pieces were inspiring, insightful, and beautiful!

Athena Milios, Sajjad Choudhury, Lara da Rocha, Donna Brown, Maria Reitan, Linda C Smith, Ann Litts

It’s a pleasure to have you here! :)

I would also like to celebrate the fact that we now have 29 followers! I am thrilled about the growth in readership!

Here is to another great month!

Stories of the Month

This month, we read stories that traveled through all walks of life. From grandparents to grandchildren, from young women to women beginning again at age 60, all the way to what it means to be in the here and now.

Let’s celebrate these great contributions:

Conversations Series Contributions

We also received one more contribution to our Conversations series, where we recall dialogues that bridge intergenerational voices and perspectives. This is an ongoing series, so if you have a story to share, we would love to hear your dialogues!

Texting as a Bond Between the Generations: Love the “Hi Grandma” texts. by Linda C Smith

The First Monthly Prompt

This month, we also launched our first-ever monthly prompt, which involved the theme of weddings and marriage.

Stay tuned for the next monthly prompt for July, and for the announcement of the winner of June’s prompt!

I would like to give a special thank you to Sajjad Choudhury and Donna Brown for participating in this challenge.

And Finally, A Huge Thank You

Mind in the Gap would not be here without your support! I’m excited to see this publication continue to grow and bridge together all ages and perspectives! A big thank you to all the writers who have shared their beautiful stories, and to all the readers who enjoy following along.
