Rewards of Crypto Fantasy
At OWN, we wish to create a FUDless ecosystem for users to enter the crypto ecosystem. We wish to create an incubator of sorts for the crypto enthusiasts, to give them a flavour of the crypto ecosystem without any fear of losing money. While striving to achieve this, we also wish to create a more rewarding ecosystem for the crypto natives and crypto pros. This complex setup led us to develop an intricate system of fees and rewards.
This article was last modified at 28 June, 2022, 1:00PM. As we increased time for our Crypto Fantasy game from 8 hours to 15 hours, the logic to attribute XP to Cryptonites was changed. Now onwards, you will get XP per game = Participation XP (15) + “5%” of your Crypto Fantasy score
Fee Tiers
- Free to Play (Free Tier) — All games on the platform will always be free. Each player can enter any of the games by simply borrowing the Cryptonites from our native lending marketplace and entering the game for free.
- Pay to Play (PRO Tier) — Each player will also have an option to enter the game by paying a small entry fee. This is for folks who believe they know how to win and would like to play for much larger rewards.
Winning Zone for Free Tier will be Only Top 3 ranks, while for PRO Tier will be Top 85% ranks of all participants (ex: If 100 players are in any game, top 85 players will be in the winning zone).
Play Like a Pro
We, of course wish to onboard the masses into the Crypto ecosystem, by giving them a true flavour of crypto markets. So, each player, can play some games in the PRO Tier for free (Woah, what magic is this!!). Here is how it works:
- OWN Gift games — OWN Gift games give the player entry into the PRO Tier of any game in the OWN Cryptoverse. The player gets to play with the pros for the highest rewards, but for free. Basically, we will pay the fee for you. Just to give a flavour of how it feels to win big :)
Each player will be given 4 gift games upon registration and will have multiple opportunities to win more gift games.
- Early bird — Suppose you run out of OWN gift games but really wish to play with the big boys in the PRO Tier. No need to worry, just be early. Really, it is that simple. We would be offering a free entry in the PRO Tier to ~50% of early entrants. So, all you need to do is — Show up early, create a team and pay the entry fee. If you are within the early bird %, your entry fee will be refunded, and you get to play in the PRO Tier, all for free.
So, in essence, you can play in the PRO Tier for free perpetually. I mean it :)
Rewards
We are finally here on the most important part— How much money can you make? :)
Let me say the possibilities on the platform are endless, but let’s take a quick look at the rewards in the Crypto Fantasy game. Players who end in the top 85% in any game will earn some cool rewards. There are 4 things a player can earn by playing Crypto Fantasy:
Cash
Have you ever spent time playing the cool web3 games, only to earn sh**coins? Well, we have too. And it is frustrating to say the least. So, we don’t give sh**coin rewards.
We give real rewards for real games in the OWN Cryptoverse.
Each game of Crypto Fantasy will give onwards of 1,000 USDC in cash rewards. And there is no upper limit to how large the rewards can become :). Higher the number of participants, larger the rewards.
Here is what a typical cash reward distribution would look like:
Genesis NFTs
Apart from cash, we would also be giving out the extremely limited Genesis NFT eggs as rewards. Only the top 3 winners will get 1 Genesis NFT egg each. Players in both the PRO and Free Tier qualify for this.
Raffle Tickets
The standard way of getting raffle tickets is by owning the NFTs. So, if you want to increase the chances of winning absolutely crazy rewards, I would strongly suggest to buy some of the OWN NFTs from our Opensea page.
But, if you are a game player, who is just borrowing the NFTs and using it to play on the platform, that will earn you an entry in the huge raffle draws as well.
Each player will get 25% (~6–16) extra raffle tickets over the ownership raffle tickets just for participating in the game. Players who end in the winning zone will earn an additional 25% (~6–16) extra raffle tickets. If the NFTs are borrowed, you earn just half of those tickets.
I would strongly recommend buying the NFTs from Opensea instead of just borrowing. Ownership increases the chances of winning in raffle draws by ~4.5 times. For more details on how the raffle works, check one of our previous articles here.
Experience Points (XP)
Cash, Genesis NFTs and Raffle tickets provide an immediate reward for playing the game. Apart from these items, each Cryptonite used in the gameplay will earn Experience Points (XP). These XP level up the Cryptonite. Higher levels unlock larger rewards on the platform. Here is how the XP system works for Crypto Fantasy:
- Participation XP = 15 points
- Game XP = 5% of NFT Score
Generally, a Cryptonite would gain anywhere between 20–30 XP per game. Check out one of our previous articles for more detail on the XP system.
