Cuddling with your partner at night can be a wonderful way to fall asleep. Unfortunately, many couples don’t enjoy this form of tranquil intimacy when they go to bed with their partner. In fact, they may experience some of the most annoying nighttime behaviors — behaviors that make them want to move to another room or smother their partner with a pillow to escape their misery.

What are some of these annoying bed habits?

“Co-sleeping comes with its own set of sleep disruptors.”

According to a survey of 2,000 people conducted by Serta Simmons Bedding, these nighttime habits their partners engage in are most likely to drive them crazy and disrupt their sleep:

  • Stealing the covers (35 percent)
  • Tossing and turning (35 percent)
  • Keeping the television on (28 percent)
  • Snoring (28 percent)
  • Keeping the lights on (27 percent)

These behaviors are so disruptive that 49 percent of respondents said they were considering sleeping in a separate bed, also known as a sleep divorce, because they’re not getting even four good nights of sleep each week.
