We are a research project of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, funded by the Knight Foundation. We identify and share best practices on how single-subject, nonprofit news sites can engage, grow and monetize online audiences. Our cohort of newsrooms includes Chalkbeat, The Hechinger Report, The Trace, The Marshall Project, The War Horse, Center for Public Integrity, Reveal, The Texas Tribune & ProPublica.
