Compliance never moves the needle forward. For years, enslaved and/or free folks had to work within the confines of assimilation, smooth tides and blind eyes. Not any fucking more. Ava rocks boats like two ships making little tug boats. She rocks your core, psyche and political stance with veracity. That’s why she succeeds and I love her all the more for it.
