Building sprint 🔨 — New English Mentor, Enhanced Text-to-Speech, Personalized Learning Experience, and UI Improvements

Introducing English Mentor
First and foremost, I’m happy to announce the launch of English Mentor!
Following the success of Deutsch Mentor and Italian Mentor, I’ve expanded the language learning family to include English.

Premium Text-to-Speech Integration
One of the most significant upgrades in this sprint is the integration of high-quality text-to-speech functionality from ElevenLabs.
This feature brings a new level of natural-sounding voices to the platforms, enhancing the learning experience for our users.
Voice Customization for Pro Users
I’ve added an exciting perk for pro users: the ability to choose their preferred voice for the AI tutor. Users can now select between male and female voices, personalizing their learning experience even further.
Formal/Informal Conversation Modes
Language learners know the importance of understanding both formal and informal speech. To address this, I’ve introduced the option to set the tone of conversations. Users can now practice in formal or informal settings, preparing them for a variety of real-world scenarios.
Enhanced Flashcard Experience
The flashcard feature has also received a boost:
- Word Pronunciation: Users can now listen to the pronunciation of the words directly within the flashcards.
- Shuffle Feature: I’ve added a shuffle option to the flashcards, allowing for better review sessions.
Animated Landing Page
To create a more engaging first impression, I’ve implemented some beautiful animations on the landing pages using Framer Motion.
User Growth
As always, at the end of the article, I want to keep you updated about the number of users, although already from the previous gif, you can well guess the number 😂
Deutsch Mentor: 346 users.
Honestly, we haven’t grown as much as I expected, but the goal of 500 getting closer and closer! 🫡
Italian Mentor: 17 users.
English Mentor: 12 users.
They are both new, so I expect them to take a while before they gain momentum. I will work hard on marketing! ✨
Conclusion
Having a full-time job and carrying on one’s side hustle is not an easy job!
I would love to have more time and start other projects as well…the ideas are there!
Definitely no quitting, eventually I will reach my goal!
