What’s there is there!
Summary: Meet our protagonist Rahul. If you missed the previous three stories, here is the link to the first part. I continue to observe and write about him.
Rahul, athlete, vagabond, teacher, trainer, tinkerer, trekker; forever on the move and searching for something.
Can Rahul ever be domesticated?
Rahul and Sakshi made a super couple, personal and business. They knew exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it.
Their lodging/retreat/restaurant business was going great. It was a mandatory pitstop for trekkers to and fro. A free cloakroom was also set up along with outside showers with organic soap and towels. Folks started staying at their place for an extended duration, planning day treks. Some came for the writing or management retreat and mixed it up with short hikes.
Roshni arrived two years into their marriage. The whole village was there to take care of the little girl, allowing Sakshi to get back to business quickly. One of their fans setup up their social media page and handles. This enabled all the past connections of Rahul to reach out and stay connected. The follower count multiplied by the day. Everyone was happy to be connected back with Rahul.
He exuded that charisma and aura, a magnet for people. Always positive, with ideas swirling, anytime Rahul faced a challenge, he would pack his bags and set foot into the bosom of his favourite Himalayas. He almost always returned with a bunch of solutions to experiment with. Long solo walks have that effect on a lot of us.
Time flew, and Roshni had started walking. As soon as that happened, she joined Rahul and Sakshi on their day treks. Sometimes on foot, often in the backpack! When the two were busy, Roshni was taken on treks by their many friends.
By this time, Rahul’s students from Pune and other places had married and settled down. They all landed up with families at Rahul’s lodging and camping centre. That encouraged Rahul to add family treks to his company’s repertoire.
With his place as the base, Rahul now had all the freedom to continue his vagabonding, albeit with some boundaries. Past lessons, connections and experiences, all came together.
Crazy things and travel continued; as a family now!
It looked like everything was well set for Rahul, now and for the future.

When you want to do something, do it.
