The two last quarters have been very successful for Verasity and Esports Fight Club. We have focused on building our esports and video platforms, hosting micro and macro tournaments while implementing new games on the platform. Recently, we posted a roadmap update to include the Video Sharing platform that we plan to implement in Q1 2021.

The year ahead will be packed full of thrilling tournaments across many games, huge community events and a major upgrade to the Esports Fight Club Platform. 💥

Here’s a rundown of what we’ve accomplished so far:

  • Added the following games: CS:GO, Valorant, Ludo, PUBG Mobile and Free Fire
  • Hosted Ultimate Warrior Showdown which had a total of 8.6 million viewers on YouTube, Facebook and Douyu in English, Korean, Hindi, Mandarin and Nepali
  • Worked with large influencers and streamers such as Athena Gaming (2M fans)
  • Hosted Ultimate Warrior Showdown 2 on CSGO in: South Asia, US and EU
  • The full list can be found here

We have built a strong foundation for Esports Fight Club that allows us to focus on adoption and scalability moving into 2021. We are excited to announce the rest of our Esports and marketing plan for the upcoming year.

Our plan of action going forward

In order to scale up and increase adoption, we are focusing on several strategies:

  1. Attract and partner with streamers and gaming communities to organize monthly co-branded tournaments.
  2. Customize our platform to promote our new partnerships and generate constant content for our upcoming VOD platform which will be released Q1.
  3. Adding a significant amount of gaming and esports VOD content that we own and will release at the same time we release the Esports Fight Club proprietary video player.

Streamers and influencers will both benefit from having a tournament platform and custom tournaments as well as help us promote Esports Fight Club. The content generated will be uploaded to the Esports Fight Club VOD sharing platform which can be viewed by all for VRA rewards (together with other interesting content we source). Tournaments tend to be short and users need additional site stickiness to hand around. The video sharing platform will adapt to that requirement and allow for more ad monetization at scale. Livestream will be added later as well.

Upcoming tournaments

We are still in the process of finalizing dates, partners & prizes and will update this list as we announce but so far it’s pretty hot:

What is the current tournament strategy for Esports Fight Club scale and adoption?

Spending $10,000 on a big one-time prize pool to attract 1000 teams sounds good in theory.

After careful planning, forecasting and testing we have decided to spread the tournaments out so we reach a larger number of audiences. This consistency and large reach will attract much more than just 1000 teams over a period of time. The best place to do this is by sponsoring streamers and influencers, who each have thousands, or even hundreds of thousands fans.

For the past week, we’ve been running a Valorant Community Tournament with Esports Fight Club’s first partnered streamer, Mika Daime. The turnout has been great! Qualifier 1 was filled up with the max slots so quickly, that we had to create a Qualifier 2 just to fit all the teams in.

  1. Most streamers we aim to partner with can easily bring in 64 or 256 teams to a community tournament hosted by Esports Fight Club, for a fraction of the price.
  2. With the same budget of the $10,000 we would have spent on a single tournament, we can obtain approximately 540% more users by repurposing that budget for the influencer and streamer tournaments.

Microtournaments

This quarter, our admins and developers are focused on A/B testing different tournaments with multiple communities to see if we are missing any critical features demanded by gamers.

Who do we target?

Aiming to partner with streamers or influencers with a minimum of 20,000 followers with proven active engagement. For example:

Why is this partnership beneficial for both parties?

The partnerships provide an opportunity for our partnered streamers to introduce the platform to their community as an esports hub. The content that is created from their streams or taken from the tournaments will be posted on Esports Fight Club on the upcoming VoD section and will be monetized using our ad-stack. We share and benefit from a mutual ecosystem with players from our community also joining their events

Defining features that make us competitive and beat other tournament websites?

  • A unique live chat system
  • Both PUBG Mobile and Garena Free Fire available as Battle Royales (Games you won’t find, for example, on other platforms)
  • EsportsFightClub admin support for all new tournaments
  • Tournaments in all possible regions
  • Multilingual Website
  • Upcoming VoD section with a large library on the platform which will reward users in $VRA for watching content
  • Upcoming market place where gamers can spend their earned $VRA with trusted hardware partners as well as other mods and perks

First community addition and 2021 tournament: Meet Mika

One of our early partners and already-active streamer at Esports Fight Club, is the talented content creator and League of Legends champion from Philippines, Mika Daime. Mika Daime boasts an impressive 170k followers on her Facebook streaming page.

As one of the first partnered streamers to Esports Fight Club she is the perfect fit to host our first community tournament. We are excited to see the exposure and community growth the tournament will bring to Esports Fight Club and $VRA. Stay tuned for more information!

Additional Esports platforms perks

Esports is an exciting market. While most competitors are in for the challenge of big prize pools, some are happy to improve their hardware setups. Not everyone cares about getting money for their birthday! With this in mind, we will allow tournament creating partners to promote their customized pages with physical prizes. In addition to this, we are building an entire Esports store/marketplace so that fans, viewers and creators can spend their VRA with trusted hardware partners as well as other mods and perks.

Tokenomics of the platforms

The video sharing platform rewards users with VRA to watch content and ads which can be spent buying merch at the VRA store or for subscriptions and tournaments on Esports Fight Club (goods & services). Gamification of VRA promotes this transactional cycle. Ad partners pay Verasity in fiat which is used to purchase VRA in the exchange market place (as well as fiat used by credit card users to purchase EFC goods and services). VeraWallet holders buy VRA (Instant Buy & Stake) with crypto and credit cards to pay for subscriptions or buy merch. Streamers and publishers buy VRA to fund their tournaments or campaigns rewarded with VRA. Game devs, influencers, publishers get revenues from higher engagement using VRA rewards. Verasity earns a % from all the activities. The cycle repeats.

The VRA Virtuous Cycle to be completed in Q1
