Welcome to another edition of the Women in Technology newsletter!

If you are in the northern region of the world like me, the days are getting longer, the sun is shining until later in the day, and people are beginning to travel and enjoy activities outside! What a great time to be alive. Here at Women in Technology, we continue to write and read the best stories from our writers: from blockchain to interview prep to computer science and diversity and inclusion. There’s always a good story to enjoy.

This month, we’ll shout out to stories in three categories of May’s most submitted stories: Artificial Intelligence, Lessons Learned, and Technical Articles. These are just a tiny amount of all the great stories submitted to the Women in Technology publication this past month. To read our archive, click here.

Last month, we had many stories being boosted by the Medium Boost Program, and we are so happy to see the craft of our writers improve more and more every month. When you submit a story to Women in Technology, we work together to make your story show the best version of your craft, your stories, and the lessons you have gained throughout your years of experience in the industry.

Do you have a friend interested in writing to Women in Technology but doesn't know how to start? E-mail us at womenintechpub@gmail.com, connecting us. Our team will be pleased to provide you with guidance and welcome them.

Artificial Intelligence

Lessons Learned

  • Odette Marie shares her personal and professional journey in the essay Things I learned from a micromanager. I could summarize here all I want but my explanation wouldn't do it justice to the vulnerability of Odette’s story, resilience and bravery of advocating for herself through her actions and strategies. We can all learn so much from her story.
  • At Women in Tech publication, we are all about community and the power of connection! In the story Community is Everything, Lally Mack talks about how the process of creating meaningful connections requires authenticity, deep engagement, and consistent, valuable content. She offers actionable insights and principles for building a strong, drawing on real-world examples.
  • In How Dismissing Gen Z Values Puts Us All At Risk, Neela effectively uses a combination of humor, critique, and practical advice to provoke thought about generational differences in the workplace and the importance of adapting to cultural shifts. She encourages empathy towards Gen Z by portraying their demands for work-life balance and humane working conditions as reasonable and necessary. It's worth a read!
  • Through her personal journey and how she overcame job search anxiety, Jenn L. shares her story and brings support and motivation to those facing similar issues. Combating Job Search Anxiety is a story that can resonate with so many of us!
