Waiting

He sits inside a tree, waiting.

Well, a part of him is waiting. There’s also the other part, the one that just sang to the Ocean after a wholehearted dance. The part that is present and alive.

But he can’t help but to wait. And he doesn’t like waiting. It makes him nervous.

If he could only merge with the tree, so still and patient. He caresses the trunk with his fingers, noticing how the old cuts on his skin resemble the texture of the bark.

The tree doesn’t whisper, but he can hear its voice.

Why is he waiting?

He’s not sure.

And if he was?

He blinks and understands: He’s expecting. He’s eager. He desires. And as he does, the very future he desires closes itself on him.

‘It’s a mystery’. The tree whispers inside of him, and the familiar words of one of his teachers come to him. He laughs, together with the tree.

The point is not to understand the mystery. The point is to live the mystery.

And just like that, he stops waiting.

‘Moments of Connection’ is my attempt at wrapping in words these magical moments when everything make sense and you feel connected with yourself the Universe (whatever that means). If you liked ‘Waiting’, then perhaps you’ll like ‘Shattered’, ‘Anchors in Time’, ‘Feather’, ‘Infinity’, and ‘Timeless’. I also have a Patreon account, if you feel generous and want to bring a huge smile on my face💜.
