Forgive Yourself

Forgive yourself,

For the ways in which you feel like a failure.

You are learning something no-one could ever teach you.

At least you are trying.

At least you are doing something.

Forgive yourself,

For the things you planned to do,

But have never done.

It kills you every day.

Life hasn’t passed you by.

It’s never too late,

Big dreams begin with small actions.

Forgive Yourself,

For Quitting.

Sometimes, it is better to refresh the page

Than to wait for something that never stops loading.

Forgive yourself,

For feeling like you didn’t try hard enough.

You desperately wanted it to work.

But you cannot push your finger through the eye of a needle,

No matter how hard you try.

Forgive yourself,

For not wanting,

What everybody thinks you should want.

What is not for you,

Is not for you.

Forgive yourself,

Because you should be grateful,

You should be happy,

But you feel something is missing.

Your feelings aren’t invalid.

Forgive yourself,

For sticking to your guns.

A ‘no’ said with conviction,

Is better than a ‘yes’ said to avoid conflict.

Forgive yourself,

For trusting yourself to the wrong person

The blind cannot tell,

A quartz from a diamond.

Forgive yourself,

Because you can’t hold it together much longer

Let it go.

He will catch you when you fall.

Forgive yourself,

If you do not remember how to love.

Love didn’t hurt you,

Somebody did.

Forgive yourself,

If you held on longer than you should have.

If you had to hold on so tightly,

It was never yours to begin with.

Forgive yourself,

For not fixing things when you had the chance.

Where love once lived,

Love can live again.

Forgive yourself,

For being scared.

Change is scary at the beginning

But can be beautiful in the end.

Forgive yourself,

If you are still searching for your purpose

Stop searching.

Start doing what you love.

Things fall into place,

When we live deliberately.

Forgive yourself,

For not being where you thought you would be,

With who you thought you’d be with.

There is no such thing as missed chances.

We are always at the right place,

With the right people,

At the right time.

All roads eventually lead us back,

To our final destination.

Forgive yourself,

For not loving yourself.

You deserve the sort of love

That you give so freely to other people.
