Introduction:

After conducting a survey, we found that our customers expressed dissatisfaction in our current delivery service. In addition, if we wish to expand our business globally., we must choose an international logistics company. This report compares two potential companies, UPS & FedEx.

UPS:

UPS can transport products to any country worldwide. It provides next-day delivery in America and Asia, and can deliver most products in three to five days to other countries. Customers can track the delivery online, phone in or through an app on mobile phones. The customer satisfaction with the company is higher than FedEx. However, the transportation costs are higher than that of FedEx, and it just gives a 30% discount on late deliveries for overseas transport.

FedEx:

FedEx started 20 years ago, and its customer satisfaction is high. It can deliver to any country worldwide — seventy-two hour delivery in Europe or Middle East, and five to seven days to other countries. The cost of transportation is cheaper than that of UPS and it offers free shipping if the delivery is late. Customers can easily track their delivery online.

Recommendation:

It is suggested that we choose UPS as our international logistics company. The overall data shows that UPS can deliver faster than FedEx and the cost of transportation is also cheaper than that of FedEx. It is believed that UPS would fulfill most of our key requirements.
