A picture is worth a 1,000 words, especially in a crowdfunding campaign! Beautiful, telling images and clarifying sketches are crucial to your campaign. Use images to show what you want to do, make your initiative come to life for anyone who visits your campaign page. Below you’ll find some tips on what you need to show on your campaign page.

Give the campaign a face

Crowdfunding is all about credibility, so show the people behind the initiative and why you are so passionate to realize it. For example, add a fun group photo and collect action pictures of the people involved in the project. This way the campaign will become more personal. And it makes the initiators more recognizable for the people in your network, because the majority of donors know one of the initiators personally. And don’t assume everybody will watch your video, so always add pictures too.

Visualize the project

Think about ways to visualize the project. Show pictures of last year’s festival, take pictures of children playing on the current playground and show sketches of what the future will look like. Make sure you convey the right atmosphere, your enthusiasm and the fun in the project. A municipal garden filled with local gardeners will look a whole lot more fun and lively than an empty garden on a dreary day.

Show the return

It’s a good idea to use pictures of the rewards too. For instance, when you donate a T-shirt or a bag, people would like to see what it looks like, before they make a choice. And if you’re invited for a cup of coffee it’s nice that you can already see how much fun it usually is.

Be distinctive in your identity and logo

Your very own design creates a distinctive identity so people will recognize your initiative immediately. Think about a powerful logo or an image that reappears regularly.
