Re Human Week 24 — Reflections and Art — Day 168

We are what we repeatedly do. I’m reinventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time.

This process post is part of my Re Human project.

These were some things I drew today, in reverse order.

I’m liking the flexibility of drawing connections between words.

This week I started training for the Guinness World Record for most chin-ups in one minute, which is currently 57.

I’m training every other day for chin ups (because those specific muscles get tired), still only for my daily 20minutes.

I haven’t found a video of this record (want to see the form they’re looking for or accept). Right now, trying my hardest, and at the very beginning of my workout, I’ve been getting to 48–50!

Cool realization I got this week:

You know how people say “execution is everything — ideas are nothing without execution”.

Well, I realized execution requires execution ideas. So “execution” actually requires good ideas all the time.

That’s why it’s great to exercise our idea muscles.

Another cool question:

How many cool things have happened that you couldn’t have even anticipated setting goals for?

This is my week’s progression of learning how to draw face portraits, in 5 to 10minute daily increments.

The first drawing is from Monday, the second drawing is from Saturday, the third is the photo I’m drawing.

Been enjoying my new “dancing for one song every day” habit. Great way to start the day.

Here’s also my notes for the books I listened this week (I don’t export notes from the ones I read on Kindle until I finish). It’s really a link to all my notes of books I’ve read since I started taking notes (not too long ago). The notes aren’t super well formatted — they’re notes as I’m listening to the books. Similar to the ones in my Book A Day Challenge, but in Notion instead of Medium.
