The Coinbase WordPress plugin is now available. The plugin makes it super easy to add bitcoin payment buttons to more than 68 million WordPress websites around the world, and is completely open source.

We’re excited to announce that Coinbase has raised $5m in Series A funding from Fred Wilson at Union Square Ventures. You can see his post about the investment here. Ribbit Capital, SV Angel, and Fundersclub also participated in the round.

The response from our payment buttons announcement has been great, and we’ve been hard at work on adding more merchant tools.
