Final countdown and a new hire

We’re feeling the time crunch as Launch Day quickly approaches. Just like we knew when arriving to the Iowa Startup Accelerator in August, every day, hour and minute matters for us to measure how we can grow our business in 94 days.

Knowing the time with our surrounding teams at ISA is also ticking away, we were able to step out last night for the “Final Countdown” Party hosted by Stratbase’s David Shafer. It gave us a little more bonding time (helped by hard cider and wine) while prepping for these next 2 weeks of sprints.

Beau K. gets ready for day 1 at Goquets.

For those of you who may have missed the announcement on Wednesday, we hired our company’s first Happiness Representative.

Mr. Beau Kodiak (he prefers to go by Beau K.) had a busy first couple of days, which included joining Iowa’s top innovators at the Innovation Expo among other things.

Follow him on twitter (@IamBeauTheBear) as Beau K. gets ready to launch his first ‘how to’ video demonstration for delivering customer happiness.

And of course, once we took him out to lunch we found out he makes friends pretty quickly:

Overview

At Goquets, we’re working to become the easiest way to order flowers online. Stop wasting time scrolling through galleries only to see the flowers that are delivered look nothing like the photo you spent ages choosing. Tell us the details you actually care about — who it’s for, what the occasion is, and how much you want to spend and we’ll work with a local florist to build a beautiful, one-of-a-kind bouquet.

Stay tuned each week as we continue to talk about our experience going through a 3-month accelerator for Goquets at the Iowa Startup Accelerator in Cedar Rapids.

Other Updates:
