The process of yoga is an ascent into the purity,
Of absolute perfection; essential state of humanity,
It requires removal of enveloping personal impurities,
Stilling lower senses, views; seeking balance, harmony.

All yoga methods based on perfecting personality,
And may help to create a new world order hopefully,
Greatest problem — inherent restlessness of mind be,
Mind, by its very nature, is outgoing and unsteady.

The highest state of meditation requires calm, serenity,
A one-pointed mind, free from negative emotions fully,
- Distractions created by cravings, obsessions, desires be,
Ever but removed from thought and mind very diligently.

To reach subtler levels of consciousness, awareness truly,
We need will-power, clarity of mind, and the true ability,
Directing the mind without external acquisition’s anxiety,
Stopping all inharmonious, negative mental processes fully.

For this, we need not give up our homes or society,
Nor do we need to retire to any far-flung monastery,
We can achieve peace, contentment in meditation daily,
Doing our life’s duties with love got from meditation only.

For those who want to follow the path of yoga sincerely,
Towards peace and evolution, there a few prerequisites be,
- Good health, calm mind, sincerity, honesty and harmony -
A burning desire to rise above human imperfections totally.

Our health maintained by a simple and regulated diet truly,
Adequate sleep, physical exercise and relaxation definitely;
Excesses in food, exercise, sleep or relationships disparity,
Produce physical, emotional disruptions — disturb yoga surely.

If the aspects of our daily lives well balanced does be,
Then we can progress in yoga in this world certainly,
Regardless of where we live or what we do certainly,
We can create a life favorable to yoga unquestionably.
