Like many arts and sciences that profound be,
Yoga — Beautiful and powerful, but suffers sadly,
By the modern world — from the spiritual poverty
It’s been trivialized, watered down, reduced surely.

The deep and eternal essence of yoga certainly,
Has been by clever people misrepresented totally,
Just packaged for their personal profit sorrowfully,
Yoga reduced to an exercise program incorrectly.

Some present yoga as religion attracting “devotees”
Total confusion has been created about it clearly,
To define pure concept of yoga is now necessary,
What is Yoga — clarify its real meaning unmistakably.

Yoga, a practical aid, is a science unhesitatingly,
It joins, attaches, unites - methodical, orderly be,
Is set of techniques that helps the total humanity,
To become aware of their deepest nature wholly.

The goal of seeking to experience this potentially,
Is not part of a religious process, but self-study,
It contradicts not nor interferes with religion truly,
And be practiced by everyone who of any faith be.

Yoga, with its powerful techniques unquestionably,
For creating a sense of inner peace and harmony,
For clarity of mind, is relevant today universally,
A vital tool for survival, joy, growth and creativity.
