Whether you are in the early stages of your fitness journey, or an entrepreneur, or working in an office, or leading big teams, or a sports person or building a start-up, or just a normal person leading a normal life, it is important to continually seek new ways to stay inspired and driven.

Being a self-starter is a fantastic quality, but we are all human and get distracted easily by our day-to-day responsibilities.

Civilians like us need to read and practice the “code” to keep us inspired. Navy Seals, on the other hand, live and breath the code every day. For them, not following the code could mean the difference between life and death.

Now, it does not mean that if you follow these in your everyday life, you could become a Navy Seal (it ain’t that easy). But it does allow you to keep your head aligned with your goals at all times.

Here are the top 15 Navy SEAL sayings you can keep top of mind while moving toward achieving your personal and professional goals.

  • When you’re under pressure you don’t rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training.
  • Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.
  • If a particular task is worth your time and energy, then it’s worth doing correctly.
  • It’s all mind over matter, If I don’t mind, then it doesn’t matter.
  • There are two ways to do something … the right way, and again.
  • If you’re gonna be stupid, you better be hard.
  • You don’t have to like it, you just have to do it.
  • The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in combat.
  • Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out.
  • You must be your very best in the darkest moments.
  • Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards.
  • When you are under pressure you don’t rise to the occasion. You sink to the level of your training. Train well.
  • Put your mind in neutral and your ass in gear.
  • GET UP. AND. GO. Take the risk, take the gamble, take the first step. Take action. And don’t let another day slip by.
  • You’ve only got three choices in life: Give up, give in, or give it all you’ve got.

So that was some heavy stuff. Snack up on some interesting Navy Seals facts as well —

  • Women weren’t allowed to apply until 2016
  • 80% of candidates drop out during SEAL training
  • Navy SEALs make up 1% of all Navy personnel
  • More SEALs have died in training than in combat

If you want to follow one badass Navy Seal — then follow David Goggins. He is not just an inspiration, he oozes inspiration from every pore of his body. Am a big fan of David. I suggest you check out some of his conversations with Joe Rogan on YouTube. It will blow your mind away. I guarantee that.

And take some time to read his book — Can’t Hurt Me. I read his book and since the day I finished reading the book, I have not missed a single day of my gym routine.

I keep him in my mind while am doing my fitness routines, and when I think am done and beat to complete that last rep, I think about what David would have done. And then I am inspired to do that 1 more rep to finish my set.

Yeah, he is that good. Better believe it. If you don’t, then read his book. (am not getting any commissions from him to promote the book. There is no link in my article). I just think everyone should read his book to stay inspired in life.

He has inspired me. I think it's important to spread that fire to more people.

Stay Strong.
