This week is all about superheroes. With Black Widow FINALLY out and the finale of Loki airing there isn’t a better week to do this theme!

I have tried to condense my activities under the umbrella of various superheroes that i have made up and listed some of the powers that they have.

Chatman:

This week has been involving lots of conversations and chats. Catchups about the festival and how its progressing, chatting with some of the new starters, supporting their induction into the service, and sessions with the team talking about our work.

Chatman’s powers:

  • Ability to forget they are on mute before talking
  • Can get side-tracked and change the subject at will

Captain Comms:

The Festival of the Future is back again this year and it feels like the list of things that need doing keeps getting longer and longer! One of the focuses this week was the Comms plan and making sure that we have lots of interactive and unique ways to engage with our audience. Keep a look out on @digitaldorset twitter

Another bit of promotion and comms that i have been working on is the next Digital network. We talking about the use of data and why you shouldnt be scared of the word. I also can’t believe we are on the 9th network already!

Check out more details below:

Captain Comm’s Powers:

  • Can waffle on command
  • Always has an idea, even if there isn’t enough time

Mr. Techno

A few things this week have been very ‘techy’. I attended an in-depth session talking about the wonders of PowerBI and how we can use in the future. I also had a meeting to test some of the tech we were looking to use for the Festival in October. It was nice to have a in person meeting for once!

Powers:

  • Can manipulate cables with his hands
  • Will talk about data until opponents fall asleep

Agent. Shou Intel

I can only apologise for the name of this one…

Anyone who has read my weeknotes before or is involved in anything Digital/Design knows all about Show and Tells. Next week we have a show and tell summarising some of the discovery wvork i have been doing for the last few weeks on Governance.

We also had the weekly team show and tell where the design team get together to talk about what’s going on in their pieces of work and to practise showing and telling for the main event.

Powers:

  • Turns green when they see too much text on slides
  • Will distract foes by explaining the stages of the Double Diamond

Thats enough outa me…

Sam out!
