More than 200 Developer Teams Start Tokenizing their Apps with OST KIT Alpha III
OST is building essential blockchain infrastructure and tools to enable businesses to transform their communities into dynamic ecosystems. The OST KIT Alpha program enables OST to build the technology side-by-side with the international developer community, to gather their valuable feedback and develop solutions that meet the needs of real businesses.
We’re thrilled to announce that more than 200 teams have signed up for OST Alpha III. Development teams have until August 10th, 2018 to integrate an OST powered Branded Token into their app, run token transfers triggered by in-app events, and showcase the new embedded wallet token balance and transaction history APIs.
OST Alpha III builds on our previous OST Alpha challenges:
- The first OST Alpha was launched in March this year, inviting teams to mint their own Branded Tokens. The program resulted in 1600 new tokens and over 18 million token transactions. The community’s valuable feedback from alpha I helped our team immediately improve OST performance and usability.
- OST KIT Alpha II kicked off in April, running for six weeks into May, challenging developers to integrate Branded Tokens into their apps by utilizing OST KIT APIs and SDKs. We shared all 60+ successful integrations on our Challenges page, with the Grand Award of 250,000 additional OST going to Kwanda.
OST Alpha III adds the first end-user wallet features for OST, called Wallet-Lite. The OST Ledger and Balance APIs enable developers to create embedded wallet features that enable end-users to view their token balances and transaction histories. This is an essential step towards making tokenization more real and tangible for mainstream audiences.
OST Alpha III Rewards
- Every team that successfully completes the 4 minimum requirements for an Alpha III POC integration will receive 75,000 OST. Please note: Only 1 project per person/team will be rewarded.
- All teams who submit a successful POC will also be in the running for eight “Best of OST Alpha III” rewards of 250,000 additional OST. Three Best of OST Alpha III rewards will be chosen by the community. Five will be chosen by the OST team.
Registration for OST KIT Alpha III closed on Friday, 20 July 2018. The two-week submission period resulted in over 200 Alpha III registrations!
Big THANKS to the amazing OST community for your overwhelming support!
