Daddy turned (::mumble::)… another year older this week, so he’s finally catching up to the grays on his head. He also promptly played softball double-headers two nights in a row, so… was pretty much recouping all week. (So much for that rejuvenating birthday massage! Thank you though, mommy. 💆🏽) Thankfully, a certain 2 year old slept in most days. Phew.

My body may be aging, but my heart (the symbolic one) is not. I get to play hide-and-seek, chase, catch and tons of silly games with my little one. I get to give voices to Pout-Pout Fish and all his friends. I get to marvel at things like puddles of rain, baby deer, train rides and slides. I’m not reliving my youth vicariously, I’m just living anew and youthfully.
