Guide to Snowfall Forecast Maps for New England, With Other Snow Information and Photos
After a disappointing cold season so far in much of New England—at least for snow lovers—quite a bit of snow is expected soon in much of the region.
And once again, it looks like southern New England will not see significant snowfall.
From late today into tomorrow, “a swath of 4–8 inches of snow is forecast from Upstate New York into central New England, with locally higher totals over a foot for the higher elevations including the Adirondacks and the Green and White Mountains.” That’s according to a forecast discussion by the Weather Prediction Center at the National Weather Service.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. tonight to 7 p.m. tomorrow for where I live in Grafton County, New Hampshire. The forecast called for between 2 and 5 inches of snow, up to an inch of sleet and “ice accumulations around a light glaze.”
