Hot or Not — notes

As part of my #weeknotechallenge I have decided to challenge myself to doing a different style of weeknotes every week.

Todays is weeknote #26

The other weeknotes in the challenge are linked below:

‘Traditional’ Weeknotes , Gif-Notes , Sketch-Notes, Shanty-Notes, Week-quotes, Animal Crossing — Notes , Poster — Notes, Haiku — notes, Achievement — notes, Hanami — notes, Meme — notes, Retro — notes, Comic — notes, Story — notes, Slang — notes, Tweet — notes, Blog — notes, Hansai — notes,Show & Tell — notes, Taskmaster — notes, Lyrical — notes, Rap — notes, Wellbeing — notes,Football — notes, Superhero — notes

Today i am taking a trick from the ‘youths’ and doing weeknotes inspired by hot or not. Normally this is a very narcissistic idea for social media but what i am going to be doing is talking about my week and assigning a temperature depending on how well it went!

As we have all been on teams sweating our pants off the only thing i could think of this week was temperature!

Outdoor team session:

Early this week we had a team session that was half outdoors half virtual. It was a good test to see what works and what doesn’t in this every evolving hybrid world. We ran a retro the next day so we could talk through everyone’s opinions and thoughts.

It’s going to be really interesting when more people start trying approaches like this!

Temperature: 16 a nice middling temp

Feel like this could go either way atm!

The labyrinth:

This week has also involved me going through the labyrinth that is IT support. Certainly not the magic kind with puppets and rock stars. For the meeting we are testing some of the software we are using for the Festival and i needed access to it. I put my call in 9 days ago expecting something to happen before the deadline. Saved by the bell, i have literally just had this resolved after some persistance and a little pestering.

Temperature: -30

The ever-growing list:

So as i may be aware work is underway on the Festival of the Future. This year we are being overly ambitious and doing a hybrid event where we are livestreaming from all around Dorset.

Planning is currently underway for some of the filming that needs to take place before we go live in October.

Other than the sleepless nights this has been running smoothly and dates are being put in diary’s.

Temperature: 30

Let’s talk Data:

This week was also our 9th Digital Network all around data. Initially i was a bit worried about the engagement of this because data is a very ‘techy’ subject in some people’s eyes. In the end we actually had great engagement and had over 60 people attending from all backgrounds and knowledge bases!

Temperature: 49

Show and tell

I also had a show and tell this week on the User Governance work i have been doing. I have now got through the first half of the double diamond doing discovery and it was important to show any themes that were occurring. It was a little slow at the start, but the discussion really picked up and engaged towards the end.

Temperature fluctuates between hot because its great it happened and lots of great questions and cold because it could have been done wayy better.

Let’s say… Temperature: 0

That’s it from me this week i am going to go for a walk then the pub.

Sam out!
