Do you ever find yourself lost in the monotony of life, surrounded by what feels like endless shades of grey? In a world that can often feel overwhelming, it’s easy to become ensnared in the routine and lose sight of the vibrancy that exists beyond the mundane.

But fear not, for within the seemingly dull hues, there lies an opportunity for discovery, growth, and transformation. Just as an artist uses shades of grey to create depth and contrast in their masterpiece, so too can we find beauty and meaning in the everyday.

It’s Spring Break for us, and we’re enjoying the kids before everyone heads back to school for what feels like the final stretch of the year. I’ve been cuddled up with books and reading from genres I don’t ordinarily seek out.

Here’s the book I finished this week.

What are you reading?

Here’s another question for you: Are you going to Pub Crawl?

It’s on March 19th, and we’ll be there. You can register here.

If you feel like life is more like 50 Shades of Grey, you need a pick-me-up.

Here are a few ways to infuse your life with color, even amidst the greyness:

Seek Moments of Joy: In the midst of routine tasks, look for small moments of joy. It could be savoring your morning coffee, sharing a laugh with a friend, or finding solace in a quiet moment of reflection. By cultivating gratitude for these simple pleasures, you can brighten even the dullest of days.

Embrace Change: Change is inevitable, yet it often brings uncertainty and discomfort. Instead of resisting it, try to embrace change as an opportunity for growth. Whether it’s trying a new hobby, exploring a different career path, or stepping outside of your comfort zone, each change brings with it the potential for new experiences and perspectives.

Connect with Others: Human connection is a powerful antidote to the grey monotony of life. Reach out to loved ones, engage in meaningful conversations, and cultivate relationships that bring warmth and vitality to your days. Even in moments of solitude, know that you are never truly alone.

Find Your Passion: Discover what sets your soul on fire and pursue it with unwavering determination. Whether it’s a creative pursuit, a cause you’re passionate about, or a lifelong dream waiting to be realized, channel your energy into something that ignites your spirit and brings purpose to your life.

Practice Self-Compassion: Be gentle with yourself during times of struggle or uncertainty. Recognize that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed at times and that you are deserving of kindness and understanding, both from others and from yourself. Treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer to a dear friend.

Read a Book: If you can’t go on an adventure in person, you can experience it through someone else’s eyes. I dare you to pick something you wouldn’t ordinarily read to try something new.
