100 Naked Words — Day 23
How to Disrupt Strategic Thinking
Reflections, Ripples and Ramblings of a Restless Mind
I would love to spend my days thinking big thoughts and focusing on solving deep and complicated problems. I know that my greatest moments of enjoyment come when I am being creative, when I am being strategic.
I am not a fan of repetitive, task orientated drudgery (though paradoxically get a kick out of getting the small stuff done and out of the way — maybe so I can actually spend time concentrating on the more enjoyable stuff).
Even in my role as a finance leader, satisfaction comes when I am solving complex dilemmas or navigating the difficult one-two step of start up pivoting, looking forward at our needs and resource allocation, not just backwards at past performance.
Like I say, I would love to spend my days lost in higher level thinking.
Unfortunately today, thanks to some shenanigans with Microsoft and its Outlook.com, I spent the morning buggering about trying to get my Microsoft Outlook.com account to work on my Microsoft Outlook desktop client on my Microsoft Surface Book.
After frittering away the morning, I’ve finally got it running again, but it is quite frankly a bit naff. And my email address now shows as AD_aasghasdg;oiuhga;kjbasd@outlook.com (not real identity to protect the innocent).
Not a happy chappy.
Thankfully tomorrow’s another day.
