This article is for Linked Helper 1.

Linked Helper 1 is outdated and was replaced by Linked Helper 2. You can find it here https://www.linkedhelper.com/

Linked Helper 2 knowledge base is available here https://linkedhelper.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Linked Helper can automatically visit targeted LinkedIn profiles. This feature works in new LinkedIn interface and in LinkedIn Sales Navigator. If you use it in new LinkedIn interface, you can also export visited profiles into CSV file.

If you wish to export profiles targeted via LinkedIn Sales Navigator please use Linked Helper Profiles Exporter (read here).

How to use:

  1. Open “Profiles Auto-Visitor” settings:

2. You can use “DEFAULT_AUTOVISIT” list or create new one. For this choose “…Create new” from drop-down list:

3. Type name name and click Create button:

4. Go to search page (LinkedIn or Sales Navigator) choose “people” as filter and set other filters. Click “Collect contacts for auto-visiting”

Linked Helper will go through all search results and pull contacts to the list.

Remember : LinkedIn always shows ≤1000 contacts in search results. So if you wish to reach all contacts, you should split your search by several with different filters …for example by Location filter.

5. Click “View collected contacts” to check them and maybe exclude some contacts.

Remember : Excluded contacts will not be pulled to visiting list, if you try to collect another time in to the same list.

6. To exclude some contacts just mark them by clicking on checkboxes and then click “Move selected to Excluded list”:

7. Click “Excluded” tab to check excluded contacts

8. You can move back contacts to auto-visiting queue by selecting them and clicking “Move selected to Auto-Visiting Queue”.

9. Click “Close” button, when you finished.

10. Open your LinkedIn tab in separate window and do not minimise / not collapse it. You need to do this, because LinkedIn doesn’t load profile page, if it open in inactive Chrome tab. You can do this by dragging down your LinkedIn tab:

11. Go to “Visit” tab

12. Linked Helper visits contacts by iterations. Set visiting parameters:

<Visit per period> — how many contacts should be visited during one iteration

<Hour between periods> — wait timeout between two iterations

13. Click “Start profiles auto-visiting”:

14. If you have new LinkedIn interface you can Export visited profiles into CSV file:

By default CSV file will be created compatible with Google Sheets, but you can switch to MS Excel format (not recommend for profiles in other languages).

If you collected profiles, which have text in other languages, and you want to export them to Excel, you have two options:

  1. Export to Google Sheet and then to Excel from Google Sheet
  2. Export in MS Excel format and use instruction from this link https://medium.com/linked-helper/how-to-import-csv-file-into-ms-excel-b4aee2f30375#.z8f8r8ybs
