This article is for Linked Helper 1.

Linked Helper 1 is outdated and was replaced by Linked Helper 2. You can find it here https://www.linkedhelper.com/

Linked Helper 2 knowledge base is available here https://linkedhelper.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Linked Helper allows you to automatically send personalised messages to your 1st connections in LinkedIn or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

How to do this:

0. (Optional) Create new broadcast or use DEFAULT.

Broadcast is a set of Recipients, Processed Recipients, Excluded Contacts, message template, broadcast name.

0.1 To create new broadcast choose this option from drop-down list:

0.2 Set broadcast name and click Create button:

  1. Go to LinkedIn (or LinkedIn Sales Navigator) search page (for new LinkedIn your url will be https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/?facetNetwork=%5B%22F%22%5D&origin=FACETED_SEARCH)

1.1 Set your filters & set Relationship: «1st Connections»;

2. Press «Collect message recipients» button.

After this Linked Helper will go through all search results and — pull all contacts for the message broadcast (to Recipients Queue).

Already Processed Contacts or Excluded Contacts (go further to read about this) will not be pulled to Recipients Queue.

3. Check collected recipients — click “View collected recipients” button:

3.1 You will see all your collected LinkedIn recipients (please, read here How to manage Collected Recipients (Recipients Queue), Processed Recipients and Excluded Contacts for message broadcast to 1st connections)

4. Go to “Message” tab:

5. Set your message template using {firstname}, {lastname}, {company} & {position} variables. They will be replaced by real recipient first name & last name, company name & position / title. And click “Save” button.

6. Unfortunately company & position not always can be recognised. For this case defaults values for this variables:

7. After you checked and corrected Collected Recipients (Recipients Queue) you can begin sending your message by clicking :

Linked Helper sends your message to collected recipients in several iterations.

  1. Property <Send limit per period> sets a maximum number of people that should receive a message during one iteration.
  2. Property <Period between broadcasts (hours)> sets timeout between two iterations.

So in my case Linked Helper will send 2 messages, and then will sleep 0.8*1 hour = 48 minutes, and then will send next 2 messages.
